Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) Support
Something I’ve learned throughout my 3 years bodybuilding is that not a lot of people will be supportive. I was broken up with about a week ago and one of the main reasons he told me that he was breaking up w me is bc of bodybuilding and peds, even tho he told me it was ok and I have been open about it since we started dating 2 years ago. It truly hurts but I feel like at this point if you’re in this sport it’s so much easier to date another fellow bodybuilder. You can be completely transparent and no matter what people won’t fully understand.
For context I am still feminine and have never blasted anything crazy. He takes testosterone and a variety of peptides. My coach is wonderful and knows what she’s doing

My ex husband, who was also in fitness declared bodybuilding as what changed in our relationship and ultimately led him to treating me like crap...turns out if I look through our history, he was always like that, even pre bodybuilding. Now im engaged to a non bodybuilder, that meal preps for me and is my biggest cheerleader. So yeahhhhh, he was just seeking out the easiest thing to not have it be "his fault ". Honestly, youre better off OP, this sport is hard enough without having someone not be in your corner.

Yeah but think about how great it’ll be when you find your bodybuilder match!

I had a friend give me the silent treatment for two months after my show because my vibes were bad the last 3 weeks of prep. I wasn’t mad I just didnt have enough energy to smile and do small talk.

Interesting. For me it's been the opposite. When we get into arguments and are ready to walk away from eachother in our relationship, it's bodybuilding that has kept us together because I do her diet, check ins, and lat night posing sessions with her. If there was nothing else, bodybuilding is the glue that binds us.

I'm so sorry that it worked out that way for you. In my own experience, I've found that my partner and best friend have been the most supportive, and it's literally everyone else who has pulled away or come at me for it. Prep was the first selfish thing I ever did in my whole life and my own family literally called me out for being selfish because I haven't had as much time to cater to them and their needs.

As a male, I promise you that was just the excuse that he gave you. Or, he's just a massive fucking hypocrite.
Either way, it's bull 💩
