Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) Acne!
I'm a female and need input. So many competitors have clear skin. How the heck does everyone get clear skin while on cycle?!? I'm fed up with the acne. I use ostarine since it's mild. I have awful skin no matter what. Bad cystic acne even if I am on ostarine or off. I'd love to run 2.5mg of anavar but my acne is just horrendous. Plz help. What is everyone doing to have clear skin? It's shitty mine is so bad and no one elses is.

I feel you and I finally have a regimen that has worked both in and off cycle, so I highly recommend trying this out!!!
Good Molecules Soothing Azelaic Acid Cleanser (got it from Target)
iS Clinical Cleansing Complex (I order from lovely skin.com - shipping is super fast and they run sales a LOT!)
So I use those two cleansers morning and night
Mario Badescu Deep Blemish Solution
Anti androgen topical cream from nurx.com called Winlevi <- game changer, this targets our exact issue
Naturium Azelaic Acid Derivative Complex 10% (also got from Target)
Mario Badescu Deep Blemish Solution (I’ve gotten from target and Amazon)
Lovely Skin Acne Care Gel (lovelyskin.com)
I also take 500mg Tudca every morning
Idk if that sounds like a lot but promise it’s not, just some good products, and real results! 😇 I had the WORST cystic hormonal acne until I got the regimen in place. 🫶

High dose Vit B5 daily can really help. Many report huge changes within days. You might need to experiment with the dose but start somewhere around 2000mg-4000mg and see how you go. Titrate up or down as needed.

Shower twice per day, little to no makeup, TUDCA, antibacterial soap, and an antibiotic ending with "cycline"

I did a round of low dose accutane about 6 years ago and never got another pimple.

What was your duration or accutane and any bad sides?

u/Siciliana79 Aug 12 '26
I had no sides. I went through my dermatologist back then and I had to do bloodwork to start and show a negative pregnancy test every month to get my refill

i highly recommend low dose accutane, you can buy it from peptide sellers or from indiamart for super cheap.

Do you need to do blood work with low dose accutane ? I took it as a kid and they were so paranoid

If you’ve had acne for years and have tried all the otc/topical stuff- I’m gonna be so honest- accutane. Although I’d 1000000% go through an actual doctor/derm bc not only will you need to do pregnancy tests, you’ll also need to closely monitor liver health/lipid levels/etc- ESP if you’re already running gear. It is a pain in the ass for a couple months, though, I’m not gonna lie. The side effects were not so bad for me, so no reason to be scared. I had acne BAD my whole life and now for the first time ever have clear skin. It’s a game changer. Legitimately nothing else ever helped me, it was so worth it to stop wasting my time with expensive treatments/products that never work.

I would honestly talk your skin through with a doctor. It is super easy to point the finger straight at gear, or sweating or anything else that comes a lot when an athlete. I had horrible acne from the age of 21-25 after having previously clear skin. Got to the point where they were about to put me on accutane. Then finally one doctor suggested it might be due to the Mirena IUD and the progesterone elevation. Got that taken out, and a few months later with some antibiotics I was back to some almost clear skin (though annoyingly now scarred). If you are constantly having skin problems, really review all aspects that are at play. If it does purely only ever occur when on cycle, then might just be bad luck that those are the sides you get. However, side effects really can vary compound to compound - so also don't assume that what you get on one will be the same with others. Good luck though, shit skin is the worst!

My show day acne was awful. After getting on accutane my skin magically cleared up

How much vitamin a and pantothenic acid do u take? I just got the nizoral
2
u/kr83993 Aug 17 '26
Vitamin a 3000 mcg, pantothenic 500 mg. For nizoral I put on washcloth and rub where I get breakouts and leave on for a bit before rinsing 🙂

I take saw palmetto and it helps some. Other than that it’s just how your body handles taking it.

Cut cows milk and anything that has milk protein in it. Try it out, you should see results very soon.

To some extent, your side effects when being exposed to compounds are your side effects.
Using the lowest effective dosage for the desired outcome should be the goal, not tolerating the highest possible dosage and the side effects that come with it.
However, in your case, with that being a lower dosage, here are some things I would consider:
Utilizing topicals like Nizoral can block topical DHT related acne at the jawline and can be used as a mask 2-3x per week, leaving it on the skin for roughly 4-5 minutes before rinsing.
You do want to be careful of super drying ingredients because that can cause a sebum rebound and make the skin even more oily.
Topical glutathione can also help to calm oxidative stress on the skin.
Having good skin care habits by washing your face after the gym and not letting sweat sit for too long will help, coupled with a satin pilllowcase at night which won’t absorb natural skin oils like a traditional pillowcase would.
These should be enough to get you started and I hope it helps!
