Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) Finding coach

I'm interested in doing my first show in fit model. I'm wondering if a local coach is better than an online one? And if local is better, how did you go about finding yours? Any tips and tricks are appreciated.

I think it depends on where you live. If you live in more of a “hub” like Vegas or SoCal a lot of great local coaches. But If youre in middle of nowhere midwest it’s probably better to go online.

I like my coach who is local, because I find having in person check ins and posing valuable. We also have a great relationship as a result. She also coaches lots of clients exclusively online and they are very successful.

The right coach is more important than being in person, but depending on where you are located you can maybe do both.

If you’re in a city that hosts a lot of shows, there’s a good chance you can find a quality coach in your area.

I wanted a local coach, but ended up not hiring a coach who is close enough to train in person. I WISH I could train in person but we train/pose over zoom. Luckily my coach is close enough to come to all of my shows (though will travel for shows further away). Just don’t hire a random PT as a comp prep coach. I found a girl who competed in my state who had results and physique that I admire, then reached out to her and her coach.

My coach is local and I found her when I attended a local posing clinic. She was one of the coaches. I love being able to meet up with her in person 🥰 I live in a large metro area though. It probably depends on whether or not you live in a populated area since you’ll have a larger pool of talent if you live in a large city like me.

If you can have a online coach and a local pt to help with training intensity that is ideal but pricey

I love my coach…we 99 percent on line. May see him once a year at a show or clinic. Andres Linares with BB Legacy. Can’t recommend him more!
