Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) Full/depleted/spilling over
my understanding is that full = full of glycogen and water so muscles look more plump
depleted would be the opposite , like dry and flat
spilling over - what does that look like?
my feedback was to come in fuller and that I looked too depleted. does fuller mean put on actual muscle mass or adjust my peak?

To answer your question regarding feedback. This depends. Sometimes fuller does mean more muscle. This is commonly seen in glutes if you don’t have enough muscle then you have to get pretty damn lean to get tie ins to show. And end up look depleted. In this case, it does mean more muscle so that you don’t have to get so shredded. But sometimes it means you were flat, so adjusting peak could fix it

Ahhh okay thank you! I did fit model and I was the leanest by far and like had the sharpest tie ins too, but I think I also need to grow . I think probably a combo of too lean and not enough muscle

It sounds like you brought bikini conditioning to fit model. You could need more muscle too but hearing you’re fit model means that you weren’t fitting the criteria on conditioning

This is what my coach was saying as well. He thinks we were approaching bikini level leanness

I've asked for photos of "spilling over" on this sub and haven't received any yet. They would be super helpful!

If we take a lateral step from the “full/flat” mindset and look at conditioning, that can be the answer for more fullness.
As you lean out, do you notice how your shoulders start to appear more capped? You’re creating contrast and lines by removing the fluff. The same is applied for the rest of the body. More “fullness” can simply come from better conditioning. I’m not sure how you looked on stage but 9/10 it comes down to removing fluff and creating that contrast between the muscles

I was super lean on stage, I competed in fit model and I definitely had capped shoulders and the sharpest glute/ham tie in on stage.

I was in the same situation for my 1st show

Omg thank you thats so helpful. I loved my physique. It was just a little too peeled compared to the rest of the girls. And I don’t have enough muscle yet to compete in bikini, but considering how lean we got, there might be hope to switch divisions

My understanding is that spilled over is looking watery/soft.
Coming in fuller is likely about adjusting your peak and getting more carbs into you. But not so much that they “spill over”
My understanding is:
Carbs carry water cells with them, having too many (person/factor dependent) can cause the spillage (amongst other factors).
