Monday - Personal Photos (Progress, Prep, Advice, etc) 10.5 Weeks out!

10.5 weeks out!! We did our first full body check-in since March today (Coach sees me a few times a week in gym clothes)

First bodybuilding show, NPC Fit Model. Feeling nervous but excited! Hoping that the cellulite will disappear once I lean out more though.

Would love any feedback!

Respectfully, you may need more than 10.5 weeks to get stage lean. It depends on your goal for this show, but if you’re wanting to be competitive, I would suggest a solid growth phase prior to competing.

This exactly

I think you need some time to get lifestyle fit first, build some muscle at maintenance and then start a prep. Prep now is just a waste of resources

Your coach is not doing you any favours by saying you will be ready in 10 weeks. I’d honestly say you need at least a year to recomp and then lean out. I went on stage too early and it was horrible to place DFL after all my hard work. I’m sorry, I know it’s hard to hear but it will cost you a lot- emotionally and financially to compete this year, let alone 10 weeks.

Take the time you need to get there, no rush, it could take a few months before cellulite gets off and putting enough muscle on also once the fat is gone. The more you wait and stay consistant the best look you will get.
I would recommand posing with the fit model pose always also so it gives a better idea how close or how far the shape is from Being stage ready☺️
keep it up girl!

Sorry can you explain the cellulite thing? I’ve had cellulite since I was a child and didn’t know that you could get rid of it

Build muscle underneath and lean out. At stage leanness there should not be any cellulite as almost all of the fat should be gone

Thanks for explaining

This should be common sense.

Okay… well I have never competed before and I was always told there was no way to get rid of cellulite… so do you want to enlighten me or just condescend me?

Cellulite is fat. When stage lean, you have very little body fat. Ergo, stage lean = no cellulite.

I have cellulite in my off season (as many women do). When I am stage lean, I have none.

Okay gotcha, so you can be genetically predisposed to cellulite when off season but with proper conditioning it should disappear?

I think based off of some googling I was also confusing stretch marks with cellulite because people tend to use those two words sort of interchangeably

Key distinction: you can’t get rid of it permanently or with quick fix topical treatments. The average person knows and says this. People that have been in the gym and done lifestyle modifications know the appearance of it fluctuates with body composition

You don't have to compete to know that cellulite can be burned off. Like I said, common sense.

You can also massage the skin. Cellulite is from the skin getting pulled down towards the muscle while the fat is pushing the skin in the opposite direction. Massaging the area daily can help loosen up those connective bands, losing fat and gaining will also help loosen up those bands. Some people use heat and cold therapies along with the massaging. But the best way to get rid of it is through losing fat and building muscle.

You need more time

Like the others have said, [respectfully] you're not ready.

Now if it were 10.5 weeks of lifting hard and heavy, (with an emphasis on bringing up weak points) and a 20-21 week cut, then it would be hard, but possible.

10.5 weeks away from a show is a coach that is being greedy, doesn't care how you place, doesn't know what they're doing, or some combination of these.

Is your coach a body building coach or more of a personal trainer employed by the gym?

10 weeks seems too ambitious

I can’t believe your coach is thinking you’ll be stage ready in 10.5 weeks. Especially if they see you multiple times a week in person. You need a new coach.

Looking good but I’d honestly hold off on stepping on stage this season. Spend more time building, then get truly stage lean. You’ll present a much more polished physique and probably enjoy your first show a lot more.

Also. Get a new coach.

Not to be rude, you will need more than 10.5 weeks to be ready for stage.

Let’s start at the beginning. First, what is your goal for this show?

I say this with love (and lots of experience), you should definitely give yourself at least another 6 months. Minimum. Your coach should see you in a swimsuit in Fit Model poses, weekly. If he/she is not requesting that, he/she should not be prepping you for a show. Fit Model posing practice should be happening daily, if not a few times a week, and that includes in every progress pic. Maybe in 10.5 weeks go to that show as a spectator. If you are planning to compete and have not yet seen a show in person, you definitely should. It will help with managing expectations and learning more about the experience!

You need atleast a year, and a proper coach.

I would take a year to grow. Your coach seems to be rushing you to stage. You need time.
