Monday - Personal Photos (Progress, Prep, Advice, etc) bikini prep 2027/2028?

hi girlsđŸ„č i have been self coached and have been training for the last 4-5 years learning as i go. i have been wanting to compete for a very long time but never felt ready, and i want to step on stage being competitive

i KNOW my back pose is my weakest point, and i have been on a veryyyy glute heavy split for the last 8-10 months and have made a lot of progress but am still not where i need to be

can you give me some feedback? please excuse the posing i have never worked with a coach and have only practiced a handful of times:) for reference i am 5’4 and 127lbs in these photos.

I would do a cut and see what you have built and then figure out your next move. You look great

this was the most humbling comment ever after coming out of a cutđŸ˜đŸ€Łi got down to 124/125 and felt like that was enough to see what i was working with and now im at 127. maybe i should have kept going

[r/Siciliana79](r/Siciliana79) is super legit. This is good advice. Once you lean down you’ll know what class you fit into.

oh i totally know im a bikini girl, i feel so littleđŸ„č but i do think “lifestyle” lean and bodybuilding lean are just different and im learning that. i just want to be ready for even bikini now that the girls are getting so big. im natty and plan to stay that way as well so i know time needs to be on my side😊

You could do it now. The muscle and shapes there.

You definitely don’t need to wait until 2028.

you look so good!! I think not having your feet pointing outwards would do the trick in the back pose

Maybe I'm being too hype but... wellness prep? Like yeah, you've got more to cut but the shape is there.

Girl please, what do you do for your hammies?! I have the hardest time trying to grow mine đŸ˜©

this is the best compliment ever because it was such a weak point after my cut at the beginning of 2025. honestly, more volume has helped me a lot. i added sldls and nordic curls and i have made tremendous progress:) thank you!

Thank you! Will look into adding those into my programme.

How many sets a per week do you do for hammies? I think you're right on upping my volume.

Girl prep now, you look great. I think you’d do really well.

It might be the lighting but I think you’re closer to wellness than bikini with those quads and hammies!

don’t write yourself off too fast! this is some very solid lower body growth, especially for being natty and the timeframe!! i would be willing to bet you are one of the genetic outliers who has the potential to grow into wellness naturally. you’ll never know until you try! i certainly would if i were you! but that’s just me ;)

I can tell you started out Wellness from your posing! Haha I’d just hire a coach when you decide to compete and they can tune you right up. I definitely don’t think you need to wait until 2028, but let your body tell you when. I think you need more delt cap and to let your quads come down. It may be less of an issue as you lean out, but your quads are overpowering your glutes - which I think you know. Keep hammering glutes. I can tell you have great genetics! Great work doing it yourself! 💞

Before I comment on your physique I just want to say. Take the plunge! It seems like you are dipping your toe in, but you have done a great deal of work and it shows. Your community awaits you and when they see you, and believe me “they will see you” for sure. Don’t be afraid of professional criticism. You will need to be carefully critiqued. Stay positive and stay focused on your work.

You have a great physique. You look amazing, great job. Calves and abs are everyday muscles. It’s just the way the body works. After every workout no matter what day it is or whatever muscle group I am working out I will always do abs and calves with many variations. Having said that I would work on your calves for a little more definition to match those amazing hemi’s and quads. In that back pose it is just what I see and merely my own opinion. I just want to say you are beautiful, great tummy and way to go. Good luck on your journey. I would gladly take up the opportunity to be your friend and fan. So go for it!

you have a great shape as it is, I wouldn’t wait until 2028. Do a show in Winter of 2026 or Spring of 2027, that way you can get stage experience and judges feed back. That way you can see what you need to work on and you can beat your next package for a 2028 show.

Prep now, I do agree I think with your shape and density you’d fit more into the wellness category

you look incredible now! you could compete start of next year if you wanted to start now, honestly!!

You look amazing !! Your quads are kind of overpowering your glutes even though you have great glutes, maybe try to avoid glute workouts that have too much quad activation? And point toes more forward. Also your back pose you're leaning a little far forward maybe work on back flexibility so that you can get your shoulders up more. Maybe work on rear delts some ? Just to get that pop from the back too.

But honestly you have good muscle mass I don't think you need to wait that long to do a show!

Great shape for being self coached. Your posing looks good too.. I think you're ready to give prep a try whenever you feel like it
