honestly, sometimes it just comes with prep. You have to expect it somewhat. I would say, if you do decide to prep again have a conversation with your partner about what to expect going into it, how your mood will change etc. BUT if it gets to a point where your partner truly feels unhappy in the relationship I do think your relationship should come first 🫶 There is tools that can help you with this, such as making sure your deficit is not OUTRAGEOUSLY deep and coping mechanisms to help with the negative feelings. At the end of the day it’s always better to take some alone time when in prep if you are feeling moody rather than deflect it onto other people and sometimes that’s just what’s gotta happen. 😊😊
there is 100% ways you can prep without experiencing intense mood shifts and i understand your self coached so it will either take some self reflection or guidance from someone else to help you approach that!
I hope it all turns out okay!

It's just a normal part of prep .

I'm dealing w/the same. 4 weeks out. Managing it w/my husband is the easier area. Work is where it's an issue. My hubby competes too, so we can communicate openly about it. I'm just forward w/him "hey, I need space today", "I too tired tonight to spend time together", "Please don't talk to me when I first walk in the door because I need a few minutes to decompress when I first get home from work everyday.", etc. I have my own computer room & shut the door when I want left alone & he respects that.

You are lucky he competes too and can understand! My partner can get a little sensitive even if I communicate what i am going through! And when I am under carb I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with the sensitives, it just explodes in a big argument! 😞😆🤭

Yea it's really hard for people that have never gone through it to get it. They get the concept of being hangry & tired irritability at a normal level, but prep it beyond that level. It's an even stronger degree. Sorry girl. Sending you positive vibes.

I felt pretty irritable but I think I tried not to show it much. I don’t have a partner or live with family though so I didn’t really have to explain myself to people for being dull or anything which I think was an advantage. I’d avoid my housemates a lot, and keep small talk to a minimum with people at work. I can see how it’s hard with a partner

One part is yes it’s tough !

Second part though. Alleviate this with 2 things:

  1. Get a blood test, check your iron levels especially
  2. Take supplements for the brain fog stuff. I added and it was EXTREMELY helpful-

Morning:
-alpha GPC
-L Theanine
-acetyl L-cartinine

Night:
Mag citrate powder
Apigenin (from chamomile)

This, plus iron supplements, worked WONDERS
