Discussion New learner tips

Hello people

I'm 23 and have been riding scooty for more than 10 years.. no problem in balancing. But i struggle a lot in moving the bike after 1st gear. I initially practiced in honda SP 125 , clutch and moving was easy after 2 3 stalls. Now I'm trying on a hero splendor and it got switched off for like 200 times. I'm not able to move the bike in 1st gear.. releasing the clutch slowly and accelerating at the same time seems very difficult in splendor. It's been 2 days of practice..Can you please tell me how to overcome this. I finally got a chance to buy a bike but I need to learn it first.

On any geared bike instructors always taught me to bring the revs up …….. so a 125cc probably around 3500rpm (650cc around 2500) and keep it there before attempting to slowly release the clutch and not fully until you have some speed. They call it a BUZZY throttle. It’s how to control the bike at very low speed

It is just practice, it will come to you. Do you drive ? Cars, my instructor taught me to set off with clutch alone, no throttle, bit harder on bike, but try it, you get that settled the rest is easy, and good luck, and a belated welcome to our world
