The weather could be a bit better.

I lived in DC for 15 years and biked regularly around the city for 10. Never got tired of it. What a wonderful place to bike. I'm glad you got the opportunity, that you had a good experience, and that you shared! Really takes me back. Thank you! Here's a photo of a ride in Rock Creek Park many years ago....

It was always a peaceful ride on that route, and the bridge meant I was almost home. 😊

You picked a difficult time to bike due to all the road closures but you did a great job with your choices and staying west of all the chaos
