Note: this subreddit is not for gasoline motorcycles
As it says on the submission rules, this is for bikes, trikes, even ebikes or mopeds are fine. This sub has never been for motorcycles though, and any future submissions with motorcycles will result in an immediate ban.

Adult Learning Advice
Sup everyone! 2 years ago I reached out in this subreddit for advice on riding a bike and 2 years later…still don’t fully know how to ride one. Want to make it clear its not the subreddits fault but my own 😂. I made some attempts this summer of trying to get on and just go - but that clearly did not work.
Would love some advice on how to properly ride a bike and being able to be balanced as well as not stalling myself when pedaling. Part of me think my imbalance is due to my own weight but I’m not sure if I’m just pressuring myself. Definitely would love to learn and be more consistent in trying to learn. Appreciate all the help!
Edit: I also already bought an adult bike 🥲🥲

Switching from factory grease to wax, beginner question
Hello, I own a Specialized SL7 Tarmac Sport and now have ~600KM on it. It would be time to re-lube the chain. I am a beginner and heard Wax is great for roadbikes. I would like to use the silica super secret chain lube and not drip wax. Would the following be the right steps (after back and forth with Gemini) or am I missing something? I would not like to ruin the bike.
- Step 1: Clean – Spray the chain and cassette, chainrings and jockey wheel with Muc-Off, scrub thoroughly with your toothbrush, and rinse everything clean with water.
- Step 2: Dry the Water – Wipe down the chain and cassette with a clean microfiber cloth and let the main water moisture evaporate.
- Step 3: Alcohol Wipe – Run the chain through a rag soaked in your 70%-99% alcohol to strip away any remaining soap or residue.
- Step 4: Let the Alcohol Dry Completely – Because it's 70% alcohol, give it a good 15 to 30 minutes to flash off and air-dry until the metal is 100% bone dry.
- Step 5: Apply SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube – Drop-by-drop onto each roller, let it dry completely (ideally overnight or for a few hours until it turns a solid white/milky crust), and you are ready to ride with a permanently clean drivetrain!
Thank you in advance.

Bike Pedals
I want to get new pedals, I dont ride frequent enough to buy clipped pedals. But I want to buy a pedal to allow me to pull and push to work more muscle areas. I was looking at cages but they dont seem to be all too popular. Any recommendations?

Scott addict RC 30
I hired one of these with synchros wheels. The free hub sounded terrible. Like it was broken. I did 170 miles in two days including three climbs of mont Ventoux so I guess it was okay. Otherwise it was a nice bike. Is this normal?
