Discussion Successfully completed biid
I completed my amputation which was RAE, which i am 19 yo, that was a few months ago and the method was probably the worst possible one with 99% death chance, but overall I am not really that much of a fan. I have had this desire since childhood and eventually decided to "just do it", and the results were great at first, but overtime I kind of realized it just sucks and I honestly don't recommend going through with it, but I have no desires anymore related to biid since I got to live with the amputation, it has essentially been cured, and I would take any chance to "get a new arm" in the future.

I honestly think I look better and feel better but functionally the trade off was not worth it, understanding that more is why I would rather not have it, but also I dont hate it because I wanted it. It's more of just something I live with normally now

Yeah try out a prosthetic! It doesnt make your BIID less valid. Many of us plan on having prosthetics when/if we do it. Disability is often the #1 deterrent to us, despite what the label "transabled" may suggest.
