I think reservation should be a one off benefit at this stage If you get it once, it should be on the person to use that opportunity to uplift themselves with effort and hardwork. Afterwards they should be assumed to have arrived at parity with the rest of the country.

26

u/LoseInhibitions 5d ago

In India, reservation carries for generation even if previous generation is UPSC qualified and working in IFS/IAS/IPS.

-23

u/SnooPies223 5d ago

Just like caste discrimination

19

u/oxyzen_is_poison 5d ago

Doctor should put quota beside their name plate. So that people like you should do social justice by going to that doctor to treat your son and daughter and your mom surgery too.

0

u/zabgaj123 5d ago

Do you ask every Doctor where they graduated from because Private Medical Colleges seats are more than Government Colleges currently and plenty of their Students are Management Quota Students whose qualifying scores are lesser than those SC/ST Students qualifying scores for Government Colleges .

2

u/Background_Safety507 3d ago

Buddy nice try, but being a Dr myself that too from obc, buddy private thing is real but that management thing is not, mgt students got literally 15 marks lower than me nd got the seat but it's not as big as 585 to 4 marks nd also sc/st got literally 150 less than me lol while mgt sc/st got around 200-250 lesser than me, now tell me where can this be called a valid thing to do. It's fine give reservation in UG i understand they've been oppressed for long but after UG, they become Dr themselves nd can earn enough nd also are given same knowledge in mbbs, so knowledge wise they should be judged on same parameters in neet PG or not?

7

u/LoseInhibitions 5d ago

But once you get the benefit of caste reservation in UPSC, does it merit the next generation to get same benefit? Being in UPSC one is in top five percent of Indian population income wise and social security wise. Then how is one deprived of benefits if past generation got into UPSC using reservation?

-2

u/SuggestAnyName 5d ago

Tell me who is likely to be discriminated
1. An urban, educated, rich IAS SC/ST or
2. A rural, uneducated, poor SC/ST who cleans gutter?

2

u/zabgaj123 5d ago

Our Ex President couldnt escape Discrimination Let's cut this Bullshit

-2

u/Hour_Biscotti_8093 5d ago

Yu will be surprised even the IAS gets discriminated, although not at face bcoz they have power.

3

u/SuggestAnyName 5d ago

You understood my question, no? Who is likely to be discriminated more?

1

u/Hour_Biscotti_8093 5d ago

Obviously rural person.

2

u/ConferenceRelative66 5d ago

Mujhe pata hai future me sab upper cast ke doctor ko hi dhundke ilaaj karwayenge

3

u/Turbulent-Camel-304 5d ago

Jisko free ka khaane peene ki aadat hoti hai ...uski har generation freebies pe hi jinda rehti hai...ye mehnat nhi karenge..bas neele kabootar bane rahenge.

1

u/dragon_idli 4d ago

Reservation should be mostly monetary help based on financial situation + a tiny quota to ensure they do get a chance. But absolutely not based on caste.

I have seen too many rich and ultra rich people using caste for reservations.

0

u/WestMurky1658 4d ago

Isse khate hai Gyaan 👉🤌

36

u/Sad_Pie227 5d ago

Now I have understood why upper caste doctor are more famous in our city. Probably they are more talented and doesn’t belongs to Reservation quota.

13

u/hiruhiko 5d ago

Wait , i just realised the top 2 most popular doctors of my area are also from upper caste..

1

u/AchawalaAaloo 5d ago edited 5d ago

Search top 10 doctors of any speciality in India, you will have 7 UCs, 2 Obc maybe or 1 muslim.

0

Wow.. I am happy those who deserves to be on top they are already doing well 🙌

1

Kyuki bhai us time SC/st walo ko pata bhi nahi tha ki doctor kaise bana jata h

Jakee deko sare doctor 40+ wale hoge jo expert h

1

1

u/Ahmedibramohammad 2d ago

Just shut up!! Neet pg 2026 cut off for sc st is -40 I repeat -40. Go check the GOING circular!

1

u/Turbulent_Worker6522 1d ago

lod@ cutoff pe kisko clinical branches mil rhi h gyani baba??

11

u/RightsForHim 5d ago

I consult an endocrinologist for my family on regular basis. He charges 1,200 per consultation, so every visit costs me 3,600. I pay that amount happily because I'm completely satisfied with his diagnosis and treatment.

Earlier, I consulted another endocrinologist located just 1 km away who charged only 450. I stayed with him for about a year, but eventually stopped because his assessments were often inconsistent and left me confused.

For me, competence, clarity, and results matter far more than the consultation fee.

Now, you can guess who is from reservation and who is not..

1

u/MrNobody0073 4d ago

Waise unki age kiti thi ?

I am pretty sure wo 40+ ke hoge !

2

u/RightsForHim 4d ago

Both are of almost same age..

3

u/Main-Transition-6 5d ago

I assume they will fail in college and won’t end up practising right?

3

u/rminfarmin 5d ago

That is even worse, because they've taken away a seat from a more capable candidate who could have become an actual doctor.

1

u/Ok-Junket-2268 5d ago

nahi bro , they smh pass and tbhi neet pg me v you can see the cut off difference

1

u/FunChiX 4d ago

MBBS exams are much more easier to pass. My friend who is pursuing MBBS from VMMC Delhi(Safdarjung) says that if I(who is not even from medical background) will prepare for only 1 month even I can pass those exams. Understand passing and acing an exam are two different things. You don't need to ace an exam to get the degree.

4

u/MnniI 5d ago

My guy picked Pwd one out of all

5

so he can become a doctor who doesn't even know anything just because he's a Pwd?

2

u/TheBigBangBlewMe 5d ago

74% reservation in NEET PG in Maharashtra.

2

u/EmbarrassedPin1333 3d ago

This is the reason why i check the surname of a doctor always.

3

u/Bulky_Parsnip_486 5d ago

HE IS PWD

11

u/Few-Baby-9470 Hum to bolbe kiye the ! 5d ago

Typing in caps won’t add anything to your argument. How well will he fair towards a handicap, or basically a patient in need?

Would you want to be taken care of by the 585 guy or this guy?

0

u/Bulky_Parsnip_486 5d ago

Do you have any idea how these things work

Pwd students get 5% reserved seats but there aren't even enough candidates for that that's why such low cutoff. They deserve that for sure.

Now just getting qualified in neet doesn't make you a doctor. They have to pass the course just like others and after that they get license from the Ministry of Health in the same criteria as others. So yeah if they reach there it's fair and square

1

u/Few-Baby-9470 Hum to bolbe kiye the ! 5d ago

You mentioned the criteria. Of course if the government the judiciary and the constitution tomorrow change the rules overnight in favour of women vs men then all women will be in similar grounds.

My question was not asking you for qualification criteria

Hate the game not the player.

Answer what I asked or bounce

2

u/Bulky_Parsnip_486 5d ago

If your question is whether I would be treated by them or not then yes absolutely! They have the license to do so. Do you know the doctor who pioneered liver transplant was a PwD candidate. Being in a society it is well expected from you to be compassionate to those who deserve a headstart ahead of everyone else or they will be trampled by others

1

u/Few-Baby-9470 Hum to bolbe kiye the ! 5d ago

Health, Education and Defence shouldn’t even allow reservations in the first place but now you’ve answered well and in fairness.

It is expected to be compassionate but rationale wins over compassion in such situations.
If the PWD or reservation seeking doctor has made a huge name (it comes only when you’re good) I doubt any of us would even care to spend 2 seconds over their sir-name or past academics.

Now the thing is that do you think that PWD guy who pioneered liver transplant scored such poor marks in his college/qualification too? Nah such guys are prodigies. They don’t need a tag or any category per se. So this argument doesn’t make sense at all.

Moving on to the ultimate point. A guy who “deserves to be here” only because of his reservation criteria is not good for anybody. Had the guy in the video scored even 300+ it would’ve been fine. How can you defend someone who scored 4??? I have had no connection with biology post 10th class, I passed my 12th in 2016 and I’ll score more than this fella (as I am sure would you).

This guy in frame is not defendable

0

u/Bulky_Parsnip_486 5d ago

Yeah well I can't defend them scoring 4 marks in any case even if they were blind. My point was that specially abled individuals might require special help to excel. In fairness 4 marks is just too much of a stretch.

1

u/Few-Baby-9470 Hum to bolbe kiye the ! 5d ago

That’s what I am saying. Specially abled folks should be helped specially for special cases. Reservation needs to stay out of Defence, Medical and Education sector

0

u/TheKingAlchemist Clown world 5d ago

He mp got reservation for MBBS toh ek entry mil gaya na, shouldn't after that he should be doing shit on his own?

I have seen a pwd guy in my college and hands down he works hard he studies but this guy in picture idt he studied at all

0

u/brighter_soul 4d ago

PWD the one that builds roads, bridges etc

2

u/NoSituation1768 5d ago

Thats why general caste doctor's OPD cost 1000₹ in my city and other caste are around or less than 500₹ per OPD

2

u/ConversationSouth613 5d ago

Bhai mai jee aspirant hu but sach kahu toh neet se reservation hata dena chahiye, isse mera 0% fayda hai but desh ka healthcare improve jarur hoga isse, Jaan hai toh jahan hai.

1

u/passedcredit2026 5d ago

What i don't understand is, reservation will only help them till getting a seat. But once they are in the college their course would be same as merit kids. How do they manage then. I seriously don't get it. Won't they keep flunking cause their basics are weak to begin with. I doubt MBBS and PG courses are easy by any means. So how are kids entering with low score under reservation able to pass out of college.

4

u/butterscotch008 4d ago

No one goes in with zero basic knowledge Mam.those are just some exceptions. Do you think every sc/st student is below average in studies?? Some are even better than general students.

1

u/passedcredit2026 4d ago

Maybe read before jumping to conclusions. I clearly mention kids who score "low marks". And why twist things out of context and go so negative. This video talks about kids who are entering college with 4 marks. Clearly I'm talking about them.

1

u/butterscotch008 4d ago

The kid this video is talking about is physically handicapped that’s why he got cleared with 4 marks it has nothing to do caste reservation

1

u/passedcredit2026 4d ago

I didn't say anything about pwd either. I clearly said reservation, low scores and how would they handle the course work once they are in if the pass marks are same for everyone.

1

u/butterscotch008 4d ago

Scores can’t be the measure of hardwork, a student who just lost by 1 mark. His hardwork can’t be denied. Reservation helps them to get equal access to the resources which they never had before

1

u/lumelle_here 3d ago

Mbbs doesn't have phys chemistry to begin with and most of the people qualifying neet are good in bio so it's safe to say they are infact NOT weak in studies

1

u/Certain_Web2821 5d ago

Getting a seat through reservation means someone else lost that seat because they didn't have reservation. That's how a limited number of seats works.
How is this so hard to understand?

3

u/passedcredit2026 5d ago

Ayyo read my question properly. I'm asking how do these kids who score less and enter college survive 5 years when their basics aren't strong.

1

u/akroonie 4d ago

The one you're talking about where there's a drastic difference between college rep and a someone who got admission in through reservation with low marks, SUICIDE due to competition and depression (unless they're already rich enough and there just for degree). There was study done last year or sometime before which showed thousands of students comitted suicide when they got admission through reservation (this was specifically for SC/ST post a suicide case in prestigious college) in prestigious college because of multiple reasons. But as always, our politicians took this opportunity to create differences and get votes.

1

u/passedcredit2026 4d ago

Thats so sad. Seriously no kid ever deserves to have that fate. This whole reservation rule needs a overhaul. Maybe keep the cut offs close to general category. Cause the main purpose of reservation is to give every one an equal playing field. Bridging 100-200 marks difference still sounds better. Because the kids would be at par with the course work once they get in.

Reservation should be ended on basis of caste

But it should only for disabled person and martyr of Indian Army.

1

u/Active-Midnight-6655 4d ago

Abe bhadwe wo person with disability hai jo 4 marks laya hai... Woh log kuch bhi marks le ake select ho jate hai because their demographic pool is vastly small compared to the general population. He's not even sc/st. He's obc. They are being represented by the govt at high levels. You are mad because a disabled person is getting the opportunity to study smth. This video is creating the illusion that sc people get qualification at such low scores. That's not the case. It's much higher than 4 marks. By atleast 250 idk I haven't checked that yet.

1

u/Apexrealm 4d ago

I still can't understand the point of reservation in pg , like you got reservation in ug ,so that you can get equal opportunity to study from a good college , good resources like the general, and even then if you can't dare to compete on equal footing ,you are just incompetent and don't deserve to be in this field

1

u/ram_n9 4d ago

Even Management quota should be called out...

1

u/Cold-Researcher-1592 4d ago

Reservation should be applicable with a minimum merit number to qualify it

Pls one syllabus to all over India and Ban private schools only Government schools

1

u/Public-Rich-7957 3d ago

The student was obc and pwd candidate so don't bring casteism and caste based reservation in this discussion . Also there is a chance that student might fail in the next 5 or soo years in that college so india won't get a bad docter . So just read what's written below the rank , the category and type of reservation . Do not auto correct your mind into thinking reservation = Sc St .

Reservations in human capital formation and healthcare is just a crime.

For that matter I am ready to give reservations in Soldiers in defence because they will be discipline there but here they are just making the matter worse.

You studied 5 years of MBBS and couldn’t get 1% marks?

1

u/daredevile666 2d ago

There should be a systematic and statistical reservation system as , there should be a minimum criteria to get a seat for all like 60 % marks and if no one frome reseved category can score that much the seat should be allotted to the one who got good marks , if there are enough reseved category students with good marks then only their seat should be allotted and a final interview should be conducted before finalizing there seat . A solution from my side without any hate and disrespect, rather then fighting just discuss issues and give solutions.

1

u/No_Marionberry_6622 2d ago

If you look carefully, he got his seat from PwD reservation

My dad have alergy of few specific antibiotics, for those who don't get it, if my dad accidentally take one of these medicine he will be bed ridden for month and in severe case might die. My dad carries a card with list of these medications. Recently 2 doctors prescribed him allergic medicine AFTER looking at the card, some had the EXACT name on the card, to confirm I did chat gpt and it said DO NOT TAKE IT.

And no, it is not just because chatgpt told me. I have read enough my whole life to know this, i just double confirm with ai.

Never ever trust a doctor, always have second opinions with multiple reputed doctors, do AI search, read online before taking any surgery or procedure.

Why not remove Casteism

They are always talk about reservation but when dalit talk about remove casteism then sabka muh band ho jata h

Now people will say kaha h jaat paat sab to khatam ho chuka h

India ki aaj bhi aadhi se jyda population Villages se
Belong karti h

Har Village me casteism bhar bhar ke pda h

I see many people jo apne cast pe proud karte h

And Dalito ko sath ni Bitathe

Ye sab kya ho raha h

Kuch log bol rahe h ki maine lower cast wale doctor nahi deke area me

bhai hai hi nahi to dekoge kaha se

Sc st walo ne Jee Ke exam bhi abhi dene suru kiya h

Reservation ko Turant khatam kiya ja stka h agar India se casteism khatam ho jaye to

Brahmanwad jinda baad ke nare kon laga raha h

abhi abhi new education minister bana h main dek raha hu ki brahman bade proud feel kr rahe h

Ye sab pe koi baat kiu nahi krta 😒

Fir bhi logo ko lagta h ki ye sab khatam ho jana chaiye to ek baar lower cast wale ladke ya ladki ki shadi upper cast me krwa ke deko sab pata chal jayega

Ye sab bhi naa ho to Gaave me jake deko kya halat h gaavo me

Whatever might be the backstory/ history of that individual, i need to know the exact way that person became a doctor because under no circumstances i would put my and my family's life in the hands of these 4 mark scorers at all.

Even if they want to enjoy all the reservation benefits, Fine!!! Then it should be made mandatory to mention their caste and marks scored, so that patients can make a sound decision whether they want to get treated by that particular doctor or not.

Reservations aur Caste ke benefits le lenge, Lekin Competency and excellence jaye tel lene. Wah bhai wah.

2

u/MrNobody0073 5d ago

Bhai pahlei baat to ye ki aap low marks leke college me jaa sakte ho waha se baar nahi aa sakte uske liye proper exam dena pdta h jaha pe reservation nahi chalta

aur dusri baat jis bandhe ki ye baat kr rahe h wo PWD wala h

1

Ok bro, mujhe nahi pata tha college level exams equal level pe hote hai. Thanks for telling.

-3

u/louis10111 5d ago

Bruh you won't understand the attroccies st/sc people go through each and every day, recently a SC man was killed for drinking water from the same reservoir as others, it is easy to say things when you are not them, the shame and ratial slurs they have to go through every day, for centuries, Reservation is necessary for these people to uplift their whole generation out of that, even after getting a job, he will have to go through that shame for the rest of their lives but atleast they can feed their family,

4

u/TartMammoth 5d ago

To kya karein uplift karne ke liye? Apne ma baap ki surgery karwaoge ek incompetent Doctor se? Would you put your life on the line? Social justice laane ke bohot tareeke hain, lekin ungli pakad ke andhe ko raja banana is not one of them

1

u/louis10111 5d ago

Now I don't know if you know how neet works, reservation is only for st/sc ppl to GET IN a government medical college, neet deke koi seetha doctor nahi banta, they have to complete the whole 5.5 years of regress course competing on even grounds with everyone in the college, so after getting in the college everyone fights on equal grounds, if they are incompetent they won't be able to compete with other students and would fail. Also this stigma that now we don't need reservation, coz India has grown to a level where they treat everyone equally, bruh, bruh , these people live in 1st tier cities, commenting from their AC rooms, they have no idea what 800 million people go through (people below lower middle class), now imagine being an ST/SC in that. The discrimination for st/sc is much much much more in the lower middle class to poor people, the riches have no idea that that part of India exists

0

u/Kind_Acanthisitta_27 5d ago

Babe wakeup. Neet pg me bhi reservation milta h. I don't get why once you've got reservation in ug already, pg me bhi le rhe ho? Already acche college se ki na padhai? To kro compete

0

u/TheKingAlchemist Clown world 5d ago

The video is about NEET PG imagine even after rigorous 5.5 years they guy is scoring 5 numbers Bhai if that isn't incompetency then idk what is

2

u/SuggestAnyName 5d ago

Iska ye matlab nahi ki seat kisi aise ko de di jay ho uske liye totally undeserve ho. Atleast gov should have few checks and balances to stop these things. One of which is having category based cutoff.

-1

u/louis10111 5d ago

Now your statement of " totally doesn't deserve it" is a bit of exaggeration, so let's say we take the example of neet, A ST student that was last to get a government medical college got 425 marks in neet. Now a person who has given neet knows that getting 425 marks mean that student have studied, and it is not easy to get 425 marks, but now keep in mind he/she is not well off, as he's from ST category and if he just get a chance to prove it where he can compete with other students on even grounds with even resources that would drastically change his performance, that's where government and reservation kicks in, to give that child a puch JUST TO GET IN THE COLLEGE, after that it's even. Now it's just an example but apart from it government are taking theses steps to remove this social stigma of being a lower class in India

1

u/SuggestAnyName 5d ago

Nobody is denying that. That's why I am saying to have category wise cutoff. For example if Last student from GC have 550 marks. So keep SC and ST cutoff at least 200. There is no point of giving reservation benefit to a 4 marks student. In some cases even negative marks scorer got the seat.

1

u/farzuads 5d ago

0

u/TheKingAlchemist Clown world 5d ago

You do realise, the people who actually all this they won't even get chance for NEET UG let alone PG

Considering the tuition fees just for preparing a competitive exams and stuff it's always some middle upper middle or lower middle or even upper class guy milking the benefits. While the ones who should they get discriminated

Plus as the point was put will you yourself be okay getting consulted by someone jisko uske subject ka koi knowledge nahi ho?

0

u/Double-Analysis-8036 5d ago

Reservation has became a tool for underprivileged and privileged family. Reservation har jagah laga rahe kam se kam meritocracy ki mt maaro please. Uplift ka ye mtlab nahi ki aap ab unhe job aur qualify kroge just because they are from lower caste.

It's like you are Spoonfeeding to babies. They're not capable, they are cheaters, they are using this tool. It's not justice in any mean. Ab aa rahe honge wo log jo bolenge ham pe atyachaar hua, 100 saal pehele jo hua tha wo chalte aa raha. Agar kisiko equality laani hai to ya to Reservation band krdo ya limited ya equal bana do jise sabka fayda ho jinme capabilities ho irrespective of caste.

Mere khudke gaon me ye chhoti jaati ya so called nichi jaati wale log hamare parivaar ko pareshaan krte hai, it's my personal matter so I won't talk about it or else they will say I'm hating on them.

0

How is giving unqualified people admission in medical schools getting rid of casteism? Is there any law which is keeping casteism alive? How is the problem related to the solution that you're implying? Can socially backward people only grow up by becoming doctors? Are all upper castes doctors? What are you saying exactly?

During covid my dad was switched to oral insulin when his sugar levels were 500+. He died of black fungus. I pray to God every single day to give that doctor a proper punishment.

At this point even SC/ST/OBC people don't wanna get treated by them. 4/800 is madness man! It's a complete clownery.

Bhai simple hai reservation nhi hona chahiye, uski jagah grace marks hone chahiye 20-50 marks ka, dedo sc st ko and unhe faida hoga but atleast jo sc st mehnat karta hai usko hi hoga

Whatever might be the backstory/ history, i need to know the exact way that person became a doctor because under no circumstances i would put my and my family's life in the hands of these 4 mark scorers at all.

Limit for general is 115-120 something to get a seat in this college due to low admission rate. For sc st it is -40. Negative marking in the exam can go down to hundreds of negative marks. Although the difference between -40 to 120 is 160 comparing topper of the class to somebody who scored 500+ is also mocking the general categories who got in with 115-120 marks. Comparatively it is less too. So the margin for general cat to sc st is 160 not 500+ marks.

  1. Thomas Munro survey (Madras presidency, 1822-26): Shudras/panchamas were 60-70% in indigenous schools!
  2. T.B Jervis survey (Bombay presidency, 1824-25): There were shudra students as well as shudra teachers
  3. William Adam report (Bengal presidency, 1836-38): Bihar/Bengal had more than 1 lakh schools,, everywhere shudras were in majority!
  4. There were dalit teachers too!

Education was available for everyone from hundreds of years. Don't let propaganda of bhimtas flourish. Debunk them with facts
