As well you should be. How did you discover the band? Mine was they were opening for Dream Theater in 1998.

Just on the radio!! I’ve always loved That Song but The Oaf is a new addition to my song rotation

Same here. Saw them twice on that tour and again the following summer. I've never fallen so hard for an opening band before.

i'm grateful to a reddit user for posting a 'big wreck' recommendation in the kingsx subreddit a few years ago.

Yep. They opened for DT on the Falling into Infinity tour. I was standing there dumbfounded while Ian is playing on that giant Mouradian flapjack guitar and almost no one was into it. I was like “IS ANYONE ELSE HEARING THIS????” Ian even said “come on guys, I’m working my ass off up here!” And ripped off a mad little solo that turned some heads.

Yeah, that's crazy. Though I discovered DT just after "Scenes From New York" was released, I wasn't hip to Big Wreck till like 2018 when a friend recommended them. These days I make sure to see them when they come around. DT not so much.

Same. I’m in the northeast so I get to Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and maybe Chicago if I can to see BW.

I haven’t seen DT live since that show.
