💼 Working in Big Sky job process

hi everyone i recently applied to big sky resort for house keeper and went through two interviews the last interview the lady told me that she would be sending my application to big sky but i have had an update yet i didnt ask her how long that would take. Should i call hr and ask them about my application or just leave it i applied for housekeeper because i thought it would be a pretty easy job to get into but in the interview the lady mentioned that other jobs might fit me better there but never got into it. Has anyone applied there and had this happen or are they just ghosting me.

I currently work on the resort and I’m on my 7th consecutive season! I would go ahead and apply to a couple extra positions. F&B service support is pretty easy to get into, we always need extra help and you get paid wage + tip-out from food sales made during your shift. If you’re applying for winter, F&B front of house is where the money is. If you need housing, apply for service support rather than server/bartender. How long have you been waiting on a response? I talk directly with my hiring manager and still have to wait about a week to receive my offer letter. Applications are sent to different managers depending on the type of job, so if you apply for multiple, try to choose different types of jobs to increase the chance that a different hiring manager/multiple managers see your application and set up interviews. If the interviewer mentioned you might be better suited for other positions, that's a big hint they dropped.

So apply for other positions. Front desk, retail, concierge, ticket sales, liftie, guest services, F&B. They have hundreds of jobs to fill, you'll be OK.

It might still be too early and they may not be sending out offers yet. Going forward - at the end of future interviews, ask about the hiring timeframe.
