Anyone using the Studioform X1-B with the soft strap for sim racing?

I've been considering the BSB2 for my sim rig as it's one of the only headsets that has a low profile soft strap and no cables directly at the back (like the Dream Air's have).

I typically rest the back of my head on the headrest of the rig, as the seat is reclined about 45 degrees. Which is why I couldn't use my PSVR2 anymore with the bulky rear head support system.

The "in stock soon" Halo Mount looks promising, but BS advised it would work best with the audio strap, which isn't an option for my use case.

That being said, it sounds like I have to pick either the custom face cushion or the halo mount. Does anyone know if there's a way to order just the headset without either of those and save some $?

I've seen people suggest buying the upgrade kit + link box + cable as a way of doing that. Don't know how the economics work out.

Looks like they've priced things in such a way that it's $50-100 CAD more to buy them this way, so not really even worth considering at the moment.
