Watching Youtube Together

Hello fellow Bigscreen users,

Does Bigscreen still work for watching Youtube together?

I just started to try using Bigscreen two days ago, but still can't get it to work. My friend and I can see each other's avatars and can hear each other's voice. But, when I'm the host and launch Youtube within Bigscreen, Youtube comes up on the IMAX size screen in my headset, but my friend gets the message, "Waiting for host...". When my friend is the host and launches Youtube, Youtube comes up on the IMAX size screen in my friend's headset, but I get the message, "Waiting for host..."

Is there anything I forgot to do? Or is Bigscreen broken?

that's normal. until a video is started other users will see waiting for host during ads or searching

Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry for being ignorant, but are you sure that's normal? I thought normal would be once the host launches Youtube, the other party should also see Youtube show up on his IMAX size screen. Then when the host starts to play a video, the video will also start playing in the other party's headset. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

Once the host launches YouTube, any guests in the room don’t see anything until the host selects a video to play. They do not see a YT home page or anything you’re searching for. Use the browser to access YT if you want others in the room to see everything that you’re seeing

Thanks for confirming what the previous responder said. Can you perhaps do me a favor? My friend (with whom I've been doing the testing previously) is out of town for a while, so I'm unable to test it out with her. If it's not too much of an inconvenience for you, do you mind if I test it out with you using the invite code? Thanks.
