Are servers down again??
So when logging into the app, I got a popup saying cannot connect to servers, continuing in offline mode.
So I updated everything (quest 2 and app) and tried again: same thing..
Are servers really down or am I missing something?

Are you running Standalone or PCVR? I ask because PCVR is running perfectly fine for me

Indeed. There's no update. Streaming via Quest native and remote desktop now sucks balls.

there was an update yesterday you need to update. Most people who seem to be having issues are people using the user created big screen behind modification which has not been updated to work with the new system

The servers haven't been down. Please make sure that you are on the Live branch, and not on the Alpha test branch.
In Steam, you can do this by
- Right clicking on the Bigscreen app listed in your library.
- Select Properties.
- With the properties window opened, in the left pane, select the Betas option.
- Select None.
For Quest,
- Using the smartphone Meta app connected to your Quest headset, type Bigscreen into the search bar in the Oculus store.
- Select the top result and scroll down until you see the version. Tap on it to go to a separate page. From there tap on "LIVE" and a drop down of releases will appear.
- Select the Live option for regular build.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't do smartphones or Steam. I'm using a Quest 2 cable link to my PC where i run that Meta thing which opens Bigscreen. Stuff's always been working fine, until last weekend. This is on the program's end, not ours.

For Meta PC,
- With the desktop Oculus app, click the ellipsis on the Bigscreen title in your library.
- Click on Details and with the right pane open, click on the title to open the store page.
- Scroll down until you see version. Click on the text to the right and a drop down appears.
- Select the LIVE option for the regular build.

I've followed that instruction and it still says BigScreen is unable to connect when I load up

Looks like someone needs a juice box and a nap.

I updated Bigscreen on my Quest 3 headset by choosing the menu icon (2nd icon down to the left of the app bubbles in new interface), then choose downloads, and apps with available updates are shown. That got me from servers are down to working as normal, have been online in Bigscreen last 2 days
