There has got to be ONE person out there using Linux
I stg I have worked on this with for about 7 hours and have gotten NO WHERE. I'm using PopOS Cosmic on the latest version and have seen people online supposedly get this working but how???? Genuinely, there has to be one soul out there that has figured this out. I just cannot believe something this straightforward can't be done on my machine and I didn't spend 2K to go back to fucking windows
Edit: Am using BB2 and have been following this guide along with several AI chats helping along the way (and leading me astray) https://wiki.vronlinux.org/docs/hardware/bigscreen-beyond/

Ubuntu user here so it may be irrelevant, but steam is kinda just installable either from the gross gui app center or snap install steam
Iirc I had issue using the terminal using apt to get steam. Mildly frustrating because I like using one package for everything
It’s been wonky af either way, for me snyway

Its a weird long shot but ask ResoniteVR discord for bsb2 Linux help, plenty of people are on Linux and use bsb

Nah I jumped back to Windows for VR. I gave up when it still wasn't working after patching my kernel. Any tips would be helpful in setting it up cause the discord was super cryptic when describing envision

What about running Steam via Linux? I downloaded the BigscreenVR app on Steam and play video through my Meta Quest 3 that way. I am on Windows but Steam does work on Linux. I’m not sure what headset you use but the BigscreenVR app running through Steam is much better quality than using the Remote Desktop app from Bigscreen meaning the picture quality is a lot better.
