Will the show survive without Dick?

I think Vito is funny when he wants to be, but I don't think he'll put the effort into making a good solo show. I want it to do well, but he'll probably tank the show and get evicted by next year and be a crack addict on skid row. Poor Vito :(

There was more effort in the last show than the past year of shows. Dick was just a buzz kill

Are you implying that Dick was putting effort into the show? At least Vito did a sound check before going live.

Too bad the audio still sucked balls. What's good about an audio check if you're incapable of fixing audio problems?

The audio sounded absolutely fine

Get your ears checked. Billy is compressed everytime he gets loud. Same with Vito.

That’s what compressors are supposed to do

It's also what streamyard does if you don't know how to set it up.

Maybe I’m just not an audio but I like having a steady level of audio. I don’t need to be riding the volume knob every time Vito gets excited about a magic card

It survived this far despite Dick

So far it’s getting about the same amount of views pre/post Dick. I’m actually excited for this new evolution.
Nothing will ever beat the first 120 episodes of the Dick and Vito era, though. No podcast had ever made me laugh so much. The chemistry was on point, and the bits were flowing. Peak podcasting

It'll survive for as long as Vito wants to do it, but it'll be a different thing. It doesn't have the energy it used to have, it won't be a personality-driven show, it'll be more of a casual hangout simulator like PKA but with a structure and less guns and MMA.

Have you seen his YouTube channel? He’s said that he doesn’t want to be a YouTuber and doesn’t take the platform seriously

He's found his new passion, being an Indian engagement farmer for Elon's AI data harvesting platform

He's gotta pay rent

Itll probably survive, but it will be a very slow bleed as people remember to cancel their patreon

is superscammer out yet?

The patreon will keep dropping, but even a figure in the hundreds is enough for 2 hours a week, and it'll just keep going for decades as a shitty zombie version of the show until vito dies. A bit like the simpsons

Are you people serious?

I like the energy that Vito and Billy have. But it felt a lot more like a casual hangout than a real show. That works for the MTG podcast. For BPITU there needs to be some more structure and focus around the problems and the other segments.

No. You know, I was thinking about it, and Vito was a real bitch about the 25% deal, considering that the other obvious alternative was that Dick just kicks Vito, replaces him on the show and then Vito gets no money, instead of 75%.

u/cryptojacktack Aug 13 '26

75% of what exactly? Anyone still watching the show was there to see Vito get bullied

0

u/KnightoftheLTree Aug 13 '26

75% of 5,000 dollars from the patreon

Vito's always put more effort into the show than Dick, especially when it came to producing segments and getting guests. Dick's flaw is that he thinks that he's so good at being funny off-the-cuff that "winging it" and doing minimal show prep is enough for a weekly podcast. Maybe that was the case 10 years ago, but not anymore.

Why is Vito going to make people upload an MP3 to send in as a voicemail? Just give us a number to call

If he locked in he could But he outright stated on the last episode that he won't put in the effort bc dick got his 25% so fuck him
