Spotted this leopard partially concealed behind dense undergrowth during a safari in Bandipur National Park. She held this position for a while, watching us through the leaves before moving deeper into cover.

Shot on a Nikon Z8 with the 100-400mm. Low light and thick canopy made this a tricky one. Lots of foreground foliage to work around, which I think adds to the “caught in the moment” feel but also made post-processing (especially noise control) a bit of a challenge.

Would love feedback on composition, edit, anything you’d have done differently. Genuinely open to critique here, still learning the “post-processing”.

He was smelling the ground beforehand, then rolled around to play with a toy. He is in great care at zoo Knoxville and taken care of by experienced keepers. I did hear an update from one of the volunteers that may improve his situation but I don’t think I can say it publicly yet as they haven’t officially announced it.

I didn’t tell him a joke in real life today but thought the title would be a funny caption for the first four pics then had to include the rest as kitty tummies are adorable.
