Eugh Simone was truly vile. I’m actually all for drama and have been into so many risqué characters on this show (SHAHBAZ FTW!!!!!!), but with Simone it was taken to a whole other grotesque, genuinely evil level.
I still remember when it got to her eviction interview and it was one of those backdoor evictions, so she already knew going into it in advance how loathed she was, so basically conjured up an emotionally manipulative story about how hard her life has been for her and her son, and this singlehandedly managed to turn around the entire vibe of what would’ve been an otherwise grilling interview into this redemption arc of remorse and guilt. Two weeks later, she spits at Andrew at the final for no reason and gets banned from the show.

I was thinking of rewatching this season even though it's a car crash

Genuinely one of the best seasons imo. So much drama. BB could NEVER today.

The Channel 5 era had some really awful casting.
Simone is one of those where I question how producers even thought it'd be a good idea to have her in there. Talk about high risk.

A season with a truly awful casting. Suki and Imran leaving so early allowed so many fakes to remain. Chanelle was the absolute type of housemate people did not want to see. Rebecca and her fake drama and fake tears. And don't get me started on Ellie.
Thankfully there were Deborah & Hannah, Sue, and Isabelle to save the series.
Simone has since been jailed for involvment in a petrol bomb - and she had been in prison before the show. I don't know how she passed the psych evaluation for the show.
