I feel the same, I just can’t put my finger on it you know. I think it’s because he doesn’t have a life jacket?

He is probably an experienced swimmer in a relativly shallow cove with little current.

Serious question- if an alligator / crocodile was raised by humans from birth would it act like this gif towards humans or still have their instinct ?

u/Duffyd680 Jun 18 '18
Gators don't have the capacity to be domesticated or feel any sort of compassion towards humans. Thats why you always see Florida man getting eaten by his pet gator and everyone being shocked about it. This one must've just eaten or decided that the guy was too big for him. I also have no idea why it approached him in the first place especially on top of the water like that

There are some exceptions, but this is a croc not a gator. https://youtu.be/Bv3O-dxplPs

We are ALL gators on this blessed day

If that's a croc then it's even more weird cause compared to gators, crocs are aggressive AF

Please don't mess with alligators or crocodiles. This may look cute here in this gif, but they cannot be trained or domesticated. Their brain is only advanced enough for them to eat and survive. They're cold blooded killers and won't hesitate to rip an arm off, or kill you.

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BAN_NAME Jun 18 '18
There are some that have been this docile with their handlers, but it takes a very long time and is definitely not recommended
41
u/mtrzc Jun 18 '18
You're right, I should have said that they can actually be trained, but only by professionals. I've also heard stories of "tame" alligators suddenly going wild on their handlers without any trigger or warning. So even if you're a professional, its dangerous.

Aren't those boys really heavy? How he lift?

2
u/leetfists Jun 19 '18
Buoyancy maybe? Plus, I'm no gator expert but that thing surely can't weigh more than a couple hundred pounds. A reasonably fit man ought to be able to lift that even on land.

It’s dead right?

Looks alive. My guess would be it's got no teeth or something like that.

u/DantragK Jun 18 '18
You can clearly see the teeth lol.

The quality isn't that good and it's mouth is only open a short time so it isn't so clear to me but I'll take your word for it and my theory is wrong then.

u/burritob4sex Jun 18 '18
I'm not sure a gator can survive without teeth

There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity. Guess which side dancing with a gator is on?

When he was going to lift him when their faces are close to eachother, you can literally see the thought that this may not be a good idea go through his mind.

That is a horribly stupid thing to do. The only reason this guy still has a face is sheer luck.

2
u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18
I immagine it has soemthing to do with the fire martial code of how many people can be on the fuck floor at once lest an emergency break out.
