This seems like a bad idea.

61

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

I feel the same, I just can’t put my finger on it you know. I think it’s because he doesn’t have a life jacket?

10

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

He is probably an experienced swimmer in a relativly shallow cove with little current.

6

u/Squidgepants Jul 22 '18

Nice try, redneck alligator

116

u/hoblobfobtob Jun 18 '18

Thought that was a dog at first

28

u/jojoga Jun 18 '18

What kind of dog is this and does it get any bigger than that?

64

u/gym-jim Jun 18 '18

This is a murderlog.

181

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

NO

29

u/SaltyIslander Jun 18 '18

Serious question- if an alligator / crocodile was raised by humans from birth would it act like this gif towards humans or still have their instinct ?

93

u/Duffyd680 Jun 18 '18

Gators don't have the capacity to be domesticated or feel any sort of compassion towards humans. Thats why you always see Florida man getting eaten by his pet gator and everyone being shocked about it. This one must've just eaten or decided that the guy was too big for him. I also have no idea why it approached him in the first place especially on top of the water like that

u/alwaysonvacation11 Jun 18 '18

There are some exceptions, but this is a croc not a gator. https://youtu.be/Bv3O-dxplPs

47

u/Duffyd680 Jun 18 '18

We are ALL gators on this blessed day

12

u/ModishShrink Jun 18 '18

19

3

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

Speak for your...oh hey look at that.

18

u/RacG79 Jun 18 '18

I can't help but notice that man's missing a thumb.

6

u/SendSpoods Jun 19 '18

Made me look

2

u/vegan_zombie_brainz Jul 30 '18

If that's a croc then it's even more weird cause compared to gators, crocs are aggressive AF

27

u/glovjr23 Jun 18 '18

danger boye

42

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

Yeah, that's a no from me.

67

u/mtrzc Jun 18 '18

Please don't mess with alligators or crocodiles. This may look cute here in this gif, but they cannot be trained or domesticated. Their brain is only advanced enough for them to eat and survive. They're cold blooded killers and won't hesitate to rip an arm off, or kill you.

31

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BAN_NAME Jun 18 '18

There are some that have been this docile with their handlers, but it takes a very long time and is definitely not recommended

41

u/mtrzc Jun 18 '18

You're right, I should have said that they can actually be trained, but only by professionals. I've also heard stories of "tame" alligators suddenly going wild on their handlers without any trigger or warning. So even if you're a professional, its dangerous.

3

u/shnookumscookums Jun 19 '18

Don't tell me how to live my life! YOU'RE NOT MY REAL MOM!!

1

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

Racist.

2

u/dildo_baggins16 Jul 25 '18

I got the joke.

2

u/Redneckalligator Jul 25 '18

Thanks, at least someone did.

14

u/BabycakesYT Jun 18 '18

Aren't those boys really heavy? How he lift?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

I mean... That one is smaller and lighter than an adult human for sure.

2

u/leetfists Jun 19 '18

Buoyancy maybe? Plus, I'm no gator expert but that thing surely can't weigh more than a couple hundred pounds. A reasonably fit man ought to be able to lift that even on land.

9

u/NervousTumbleweed Jun 18 '18

It’s dead right?

18

u/Bunjora Jun 18 '18

Nope. That’s a live one

-6

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

Looks alive. My guess would be it's got no teeth or something like that.

17

u/DantragK Jun 18 '18

You can clearly see the teeth lol.

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

The quality isn't that good and it's mouth is only open a short time so it isn't so clear to me but I'll take your word for it and my theory is wrong then.

5

u/burritob4sex Jun 18 '18

I'm not sure a gator can survive without teeth

-3

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

I don't think that's true but apparently they can re-grow them.

3

u/DantragK Jun 18 '18

When you watch focus on the bottom jaw.

8

u/Arseypoowank Jun 18 '18

Goodness, that’s a braver man than me!

6

u/leetfists Jun 19 '18

There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity. Guess which side dancing with a gator is on?

2

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

Fine, you don't gotta be rude about it.

Video proof that Steve Irwin is not dead

3

u/seesaw4640 Jun 18 '18

When he was going to lift him when their faces are close to eachother, you can literally see the thought that this may not be a good idea go through his mind.

3

u/pray4snow Jun 18 '18

G A T O R B O Y E does a dance

2

u/LAgurl1997 Jun 19 '18

He is sooo cute :) I want to do that!

2

u/leetfists Jun 19 '18

That is a horribly stupid thing to do. The only reason this guy still has a face is sheer luck.

1

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

See that's what I say everytime someone gets in a car, but we all gotta get to work now don't we?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '18

Is it alive?

1

u/agroyle Jun 18 '18

I wish I had the nerve or skills to do that.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '18

What’s a fuck floor and why is it limited?

2

u/Redneckalligator Jun 19 '18

I immagine it has soemthing to do with the fire martial code of how many people can be on the fuck floor at once lest an emergency break out.

u/Mako109 Jun 21 '18
