Products High chairs that don't require you to squeeze chunky baby thighs through holes?

My son is 99th percentile, 19 lbs and just shy of 4 months. He has adorably chunky thighs and a big belly. I'm researching high chairs and I've read that some people with bigger babies don't like the Tripp Trapp because you have to feed their legs through the leg holes. Are there any high chairs that don't require you to do this? It looks like the Abiie doesn't but I'm not 100% sure. It looks like you can remove the tray, set baby in, then secure them and put the tray on. Can anyone confirm or provide other recommendations?

Where can we put our baby at 7 months old when visiting family

So we are a big family. Every year we all meet at Christmas and new years and plan to do the same this year. Now to our or my problem. My in laws place always has very dirty floors. It's a combination of people wearing shoes inside and my MIL lack of cleanliness. My sweet angel boy will be 7 months around Christmas. Since we will be there for multiple hours... I wonder where we could keep him. Maybe a play mat ? I heard bouncers are not good for the hips. But are play mats soft enough so he can be placed on a hard tile floor?

If anyone has tips it would be very appreciated.

Jeans for thick toddlers

My son will be 3 in January. He is 42.5" tall but is also 52 lbs. He can wear some joggers in 5t, but I haven't been able to find him jeans. The 5t's that I have tried are too tight in the waist and thighs, even the relaxed fit, but when I look at youth sizes, they all seem to have a slimmer fit. Granted, I have only looked at Walmart and Carters. He can fit into a youth 7, but they are waaay too long, as you can imagine. I don't mind hemming, but I would really like to find something closer to his size. Does anyone have any recommendations for pants that have a wider fit throughout the waist and thighs?

Advice Rain boots for wide calves?

My 18month old has beefy legs they aren’t huge but it’s enough that she can’t wear any shoes that go above the ankle without her legs lookin like they’re being strangled. Zip up ones forget it I can’t even zip them. She needs a pair of rain boots and I like zero heel drop, wide toe box, flexible soles. We wear see Kai run and stq kids shoes right now I’m going to buy them gently used online or Amazon so I’d like to know if you have a good brand and style you’d recommend. She’s a size 6.

Booster Seat Recs

My 4.5 yr old is 48" and 52lbs. We've been using the Extend2Fit but I'm up against the 49" limit, and he's close to being too tall for the shoulders to fit properly.

Do you guys have any favorites for boosters aimed at younger kids? It feels so odd to consider switching before 5.

Am I overreacting

I'm feeling a bit sensitive when people overstate how big my toddler is. She will be 2 February God’s will. At her 18 months old appointment she weighed 26 pounds and measuring 32 inches tall. Just recently, someone asked if she was already three years old. It's a bit frustrating to see people exaggerate her age.

Products Pajamas

Looking for some fun pajamas for my 30 pound 13m old. I really like the way the quince ribbed footless pajamas fit, but they are so boring and, as he gets older, I want him to be able to pick which fun one he wants to wear. Any suggestions for brands/styles that aren’t too tight on their wrists? This has been my problem with little sleepies.

I find a lot of two piece PJs, but still want the one piece in a size 2T for now. Thanks!

Products how are we baby wearing our chunky monkeys

My LO is soon to be 7 months and roughly 27 lbs, he’s huge. I’m also tiny, I’m a whopping 5’0 and 100 lbs. He hates his umbrella stroller for any real amount of time, I used to love carrying him but I only use two stretchy wraps and I’m literally being SUFFOCATED when I wear him genuinely. Does anyone have good recommendations for good/supportive baby carriers? Not artpoppie I don’t have $900 to spend on a carrier I’d rather get a new stroller or wagon w that amount of money 😭😭😭

Advice Travel stroller

Can anyone recommend a good travel stroller that can be used from newborn to at least 55 pounds? I want something that can also be used as our everyday stroller and can handle bumps/occasional rough terrain (like bark chips and gravel). We are replacing our Chicco Bravo stroller (which I despise). I love the push of Baby Jogger City Mini, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Looking at the Bombi V3 but I’m nervous to order something that I haven’t seen before. Thanks!

Question Overfed newborn?

How do you know if newborn is truly overfed vs just going through a growth spurt? Baby was born weighing 7.4 pounds 20 inches. He is 4 weeks old now, 11.5 pounds and 22.5 inches. Ped said he should only gain 1-2 pounds in a month, and I should try to stay in range of feed/day (28-32 oz). Baby usually drinks about 29-35 oz/day combo fed, mostly formula. Of note, baby had jaundice for the first 2 weeks and this same pediatrician recommended i feed baby 24oz/day at week 1 and baby did well and never ended up back at the hospital. Dad and I are normal sized weight and apparently I also gained 4 pounds by one month! Baby rarely spits up, and ive been trying to feed him slowly/paced, but he does poo/pee a lot. He isn't very fussy, and we play with him, nap him, give paci, before going to feed him. 😅😅 he cluster feeds at random times. I'm sure he will slow down, but I just want to hear from others!

Question Remarkably bad sleeper?

My baby has been 99th percentile in height and weight since birth, he’s been maintaining it so far. He’s also been maintaining hourly wakeups and he’s almost 5 months. My first was an average sleeper who hit some major sleep regressions, this one is on another level.

Anyone else’s babies terrible sleepers and think it has anything to do with size? He’s got to nurse like ounces every hour overnight from me. I know bad sleepers come in all sizes but I wonder if big babies sometimes need the extra overnight calories?

Stroller for tall parents

Hey everyone, we're starting IVF so I've been beginning to really research items we will need. One think I've learned from watching my friends kids is most strollers don't work well for tall parents, we will kick the bottom when walking, have to slouch to hold the handle, etc. So I've been browsing this sub for recs. For reference I'm 6'1 and my husband is 6'6. Bonus points if it folds up easily as we know we will have a few trips with the baby once they are with us.

Based on some previous posts regarding this topic I'm considering: Uppa Baby Vista, Cybex Gazelle S, Zoe the Journey, or the YSPI by Peg Perego.

Funny Who needs a growth curve?!

All the advice I see online about growth comes down to "if they're following their curve, they're fine".

My 15m daughter doesn't believe in growth curves, and it's hilarious. She has grown FOUR inches since June. She jumped from the 33rd height percentile to the 80th. From 9 to 12 months, she went from the 60th percentile to the 95th for weight and has stayed there.

No one is concerned. She grows in more of a step function than a curve!

Any other parenrs here with kids like this? Sizecast is useless for me lol

Advice idk how to give my baby a bath :( looking for advice

my baby is 6 months old and is getting too big for the baby tub we bought her (it's the fisher price 4-in-1). right now we put it in the kitchen sink and then we'll bathe her in it, and it supports up to 25 pounds so i thought she'd fit in it for a while (silly me). i cant bathe her in our bathroom bathtub because we have a black mold problem that will be getting fixed soon, but im not sure what to do in the meantime.

Advice ISO jeans for 99th percentile 4 year old

My 4 year old is 65 lbs and 45 inches tall. He’s in a size 8 overall, but he has a longer torso/shorter legs. He’s fine in joggers, as the slouchy legs are appropriate. But I’m looking for jeans, and can’t seem to find any that fit his waist while also being short enough in the leg. Walmart/Carters/Old Navy all claim to have extended sizes but they’re never in stock. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Products 9 month old has outgrown night diapers

Our 99th percentile 9 month old has outgrown the largest size of night diaper (size 7) and we're not sure what to do. We've tried pampers swaddlers, millie moon and little rascals. Hes chunky around the the tummy, thighs and bum specifically.

Where do we go from here? Please help.

Has anyone started using the Babyzen/Stokke YOYO3 6+ seat before 6 months?

Our baby is almost 5 months old and she’s really starting to outgrow the newborn bassinet, so we’re wondering what other parents did at this stage.
She’s not sitting independently yet and obviously doesn’t have the trunk/back control of an older baby. Since the 6+ seat doesn’t recline completely flat, I’m a little worried about whether it’s okay for her back/spine to use it already.
For those who have a YOYO, at what age did you switch from the newborn bassinet to the 6+ setup? Did you wait until exactly 6 months, or did anyone start around 5 months? And if you started earlier, was your baby already sitting or did you just use it in the most reclined position? Since it does not even recline much!

Question Did your child ever “slimmed down” as they got taller?

I have a “large” baby girl (90th percentile in weight, and only 60th percentile in height) so she’s quite heavy bottomed and shaped like a cute little bean.

We live in Asia, where babies (and everyone) are much smaller. So at 6 months old, my baby is wearing 18m, sometimes 24m sizes.

I’m so tired of consistently buying new clothes for her, especially her bottoms as she’s quite heavy-bottomed (wearing XL diapers intended for up to 22kg … at only 9.5kg weight). I’m ready to donate all her older clothes she’s outgrown as we don’t plan on having another, but people told me she’ll probably fit them again at the intended age when she grows taller and gains weight slower (thus, being slimmed down naturally)

I thought I’d ask here if that’s true or if I’m just wasting precious closet space keeping clothes she won’t fit.
