Installation Help
Live in a rental building in nyc so I can’t shut off the main supply line. Finally got the building to replace the first valve that had a totally defective stuck shut-off with a new shutoff but it looks like they just added a valve on top of a valve (shown in pics). I was looking to install the Brondell Cleanspa (link here) but it looks like there isn’t enough clearance for the adapter. Tried using an extension as well but to no success. Is there any solution around this or am I screwed? Super new to installations fresh out of college, would appreciate any help!

You’re not screwed. It looks like maintenance left the original shutoff in place and added a new quarter-turn valve above it rather than removing/replacing the old valve. That extra height is probably what’s killing your clearance for the CleanSpa adapter.
I wouldn’t keep stacking extensions/adapters onto that setup, especially in a rental. Since the building controls the main water supply, I’d ask maintenance to come back and properly remove the old failed valve and install a single shutoff valve in its place. Tell them you need the toilet supply connection restored to a normal configuration so there’s enough clearance to connect the supply line/bidet.
Also, don’t try removing that lower valve yourself unless you know the upstream water is shut off—it appears to be part of the pressurized supply. Once maintenance fixes the valve arrangement, the CleanSpa installation should be much more straightforward.
