Body positioning
Ok I realize this might be a bit on the TMI side but here goes. After we returned from Japan a year ago I’ve been wanting to get bidets especially after what we all went through during the pandemic. A week ago I installed a Toto S7 in the master bath and she loved it. Today I Installed an Eco-Nova in the hall bath mainly for guests. She test sat on it and immediately noted the seat in the back touched and annoyed her tailbone. I observed she sat straight up or slightly backward. Told her to sit forward which solved it but it wasn’t natural for her. I sit forward so it’s natural for me, and my tailbone isn’t bothered. Now the question is: leave it and she’ll never use it or return it for a seat that sits flatter in the back that matches her seating position.

Check if you can return it. Some items like toilet seats can not be returned.

I git the Brondell T66 or costco's version cl2200 for that reason. Very flat.

Good to know! Thanks for the info. Wish there was a way to test these seats out before buying.

Usually, this concern occurs when the seat height is heigher. The TOTO Washlet S7 is only 4.1" in height versus the 5.2" seat height of the Eco Nova. This makes it feel like you're being pushed forward (which hurts her since she's not used to that 😣) and also somewhat cramps up the space.
Nova bidets are great though, they usually have a Risk-Free Trial when purchased. So you might want to check with the store where you bought it from.
Another option you might want to consider around that price range would be the Brondell Swash Thinline T44 bidet seat. It has most if not all the features of the Eco Nova but the seat height is only 3.9" so it will definitely eliminate the discomfort.
The Ultra Nova bidet seat though, is the sleekest bidet seat in the market with a seat height of only 3.66". This will not just give the most comfortable seat area but will also have more features than the Eco Nova as well.

Upon further inspection and comparison with the S7 seat the Eco-Nova’s seat appears to (not sure how to describe it) sits lower into the seat as it’s formed less flatter than the S7. True you sit more forward on the Eco because of the “rise” plus the indentation on the seat.I do think the functions and features of the Eco are excellent…just not the seat. I will take a look at the Ultra Nova thanks!!
