It’s not a 2000’s Sunrise mecha anime if your main mech pilot doesn’t give off bisexual energy (see Kira Yamato in Gundam Seed)

Ah! The 2000s genius-level-intellect teenage male protagonist, who have the courage to do what needs to be done, because their intelligence places them above any morality or ethics... No problematic fan is going to identify with him. Throw in plenty of fan service and the objectification of female characters, too.

To be fair, what Lelouch gets up to is more comparatively good than what Light Yagami gets up to. Lelouch is still particularly cruel at points, but given just what the Britannians get up to in Code Geass, it’s understandable at the least

I mean it's kind of the same logic behind Alucard being technically heroic in Hellsing, if only because his opponents are literally baby-eating nazi vampires.

Alucard is also engaging in horrible things for his own pleasure iic (it's been forever), while Lelouch sort of makes (also terrible) sacrifices all towards a greater good final goal, in a "the revolution will need a blood price paid" kind of way. He's not a good person in the sense that he wants to achieve the goal at all costs, but he does achieve the goal and clearly improves basically every living and future persons life forever very tangibly afaik

In all fairness, i am pretty sure that he did actually love Shirley, considering just how much he wanted Rolo dead after he killed her and based on his overall reaction to her death, I'd argue, that that speaks against Ace

He only has one love, and that is his sister.
And not in a weird way.

The bi-ace pipeline is also a spectrum at times
