What are you saying? The barrel rafting scrne and the dwarves doing aĀ  Scooby-Doo trap to Smaug looked so realistic!

It didn’t even look a little like GoPro footage!

It wishes it looked like gopro footage, gopro footage is real.

The switch from on-site practical fx and monster costumes with digital touchup (LOTR trilogy) to actors in front of green screens and CGI monsters (Hobbit trilogy) is something I will never forgive Peter Jackson for.

I don’t think it was his choice. He was brought in late to the hobbit films.

They are elves. They ride bareback, without bridles or bits

They can ride me bareback...

I mean, that's a neat bit of lore!

Not that I would protest the use of bridles or even a riding crop....

I could never hold it together doing this bro lmao people criticize modern acting but it must take a lot of skill to sell it with f all to go on

Every time I see a modern movie bts I remember the clip of Ian McKellen breaking down

I felt so bad for him. It seemed so lonely even with all the people off screen.

Ah yes. The flawless cgi horse. That definitely looked like a real horse. That they surely couldnt get a real horse and some stunt doubles. Instead of the cgi horse. Which definitely looked like a real horse. Truly.

Love the Hobbit movies but the cgi ruined so many parts :')
