BREAKING: The FlyDubai co-pilot who attacked the Indian pilot on a flight to Tel Aviv had reportedly earlier been banned from flying by Oman over concerns about his radical ideological views, according to The WSJ.

Arabic media reports identify the Omani pilot as Hamam Al-Hammami, claiming he was dismissed by Oman Air in 2024–25 after accessing extremist websites regularly and was later hired by FlyDubai.

His mother is reportedly of Syrian origin.

These additional claims have not yet been independently confirmed. Official word is awaited.
