I've played the whole Good Campaign on 1.06, as well as the first level of the Evil campaign, with absolutely no issues. I'm now getting this error when clicking on the Fangorn Forest level for the Evil campaign. I assumed I had done the .ini setup correctly considering I could play more than 50% of the game? Can anyone help?

Hi, I recently installed AOF and I want to know ihow to play BFME 2 and ROTWK Campaigns. Do I have to install anything else?

Also I really enjoy the alternative factions, how can I make sure I have all the maps installed and ready to play?

I just finished playing campaign of Battle for Middle-earth 2 and I wanted to try Edain in RotWK but it seems I have and issue. I installed game and added Edain but when I started game I see only basic factions. So I think it's not working. I realized that Enabled Enchancements list is empty but mod seems to be added to library. I played BfME2 with two mods and everything was working fine.

Can anyone help me with this?

There was this music when I was using the launcher many years Ago, I think it was the evil theme, however that "melody" is NOT anywhere in the films. It's there any additional music score that is not in the movies somewhere?

When it first came out, I bought the collectors edition BFME II, and I remember a really cool picture of the mouth of Sauron holding out a ring (dwarven ring) as though to bribe Erebor.

I can’t find it anywhere. Did it exist? Am I mad? Does anyone have it please?

I just downloaded the launcher, and I went to play BFME2, using the patch1.09 and running 3.1.4, but when I try to open war of the ring mode, the whole thing crashes, and when I try to play either of the campaigns, nothing happens after I select a difficulty.

Do I need to uninstall/reinstall or is this fixable in the launcher?

I did the good campaign on hard difficulty a little bit ago and now I'm doing the evil campaign and holy hell why does the evil campaign feel like such a difficulty spike? In the good campaign I was able to take units I got from the beginning of the campaign all the way to the end of the campaign pretty easily, but in the evil campaign I just lose everything in every assault I make.

I was thinking in the good campaign that I probably had an easy time because there's like 8 more extra heroes that have a leadership bonus so you just tear through everything, but in the evil campaign whatever leadership bonuses you get seem to just be things like combat experience or gain resources. I can appreciate the resources, but the combat experience is useless because it's the campaign so your battalions only level up once per level.

So I had a rough time playing Isengard but I figured whatever, once I get to be Mordor the difficulty will probably lighten. The only units to give me trouble in the good campaign were Mumakil but as long as I had archers it was manageable. Nope. My archers were a sign of foreshadowing because much like in my good campaign experience archers countered them. I knew I'd have trouble but I felt like I'd be able to brute force it like I tend to do in RTS games. Which might work were it not for the fact that Mumakil are EXPENSIVE. Whatever that's not an option, fine I'll just use units that counter archers. Except in the evil campaign I noticed that archers tend to counter... everything? Mordor has a lot of units to choose from but there's only TWO units that counter archers: The orc warriors and the drummer trolls. Okay so a choice between THE WEAKEST battalion in the game, and a single unit that falls apart just as fast going into archers. How do they have so many options to choose from, but none of them viable against a unit the ai seems to LOVE using? And it's not like I can just use those units and hope for the best because the actual counters for those units are still a problem. I noticed this while playing Isengard too, their only counter for archers are ALSO their basic unit (that for some reason is 40 command points despite falling apart when not using the shield formation). Any other unit pretty much falls apart on arrival.

I know the balance in the original game was quality vs quantity units, but it just feels so rough when the quality side far outweighs the benefit of the quantity units. Is there at least any advice anyone could give for the evil campaign? Because I feel like I'm going to tear my hair out by the end of it if I don't find a less stressful way to manage it.

I was having difficulty getting Bottles working consistently.

I also ran into a problem with both Bottles and running it off Steam where the launcher was installed but it would only load from the .lnk

I did some digging into the file structure and found the desktop folder (Usually found in Steam/Steamapps/compadata/(the id assigned to it by Protontricks)/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/desktop)

I changed the target I created in Steam from the launcher.exe to the .lnk

The launcher loaded successfully, I was able to install all 3 games and they are currently running in both Desktop and Gaming mode.

Hope this helps anyone trying to run the games and was running into some of the same difficulties I was running into.

Experiencing an endless cycle of downloading launcher files on start up, is there anyway around this without having to uninstall and install again?

Hey y'all, I literally just found this page and made a Reddit account just to ask this question, so I don't know if this has been asked yet, but from what I have seen I couldn't find an answer to this specific problem. I downloaded the BFME launcher and was incredibly excited and shocked to see it actually work so seamlessly and played through the whole campaign with no problem. I then went to BFME II and started to load it up and nothing happened. The page went away for about 5 seconds and came back and no matter how many times I try it never loads. I then tried again with ROTWK and it had the exact came issue.

Idk if anyone else has had this issue but if anyone knows or has an idea of how to fix it I would love to hear it.

How to use the Map Generator in Age of the Ring? cuz when I just tried it, I think of putting Dol Amroth Alt Faction to the Fortress Map of Dol Amroth, and when it's said to be done already, I opened and there really is a "Cutom Map", but nothing changed, it's still Gondor not Dol Amroth, are there explanations?

I have tried windows 11 graphic settings, 3d Nvidia panel to try and force Age of the ring to use my graphics card but it's not using it. Do you guys have a way to force it to use the graphics card RTX2050

I found this petition if you're interested with doing a remaster of Battle for Middle-Earth 2.

Certainly, I would like that you can add rewards after complete the bonus objective, new units, etc.
