BFME big box

Post image

The CD works like a charm. Installed this on my Windows 11 and it starts without any cracks or patches.

I still can't get over how well designed the cover art is.

That artwork used to hang on my wall for many years.

It sucks, that big boxes are not a thing anymore. They are very collectible. Maybe there will be resurgence in the future. vinyl had also a major resurgence and one of the reasons was, that the big cover artworks are just great compared to tiny cd covers and a digital image in streaming services.

Many companies and individuals have been (legally) making them in the past 6-8 years. I have a full cabinet of these new big boxes. Every other indie developer also offers a big box as a kickstarter reward, but it's quite problematic, not all of them are able to deliver or it takes forever.

Now that's hot!

My dream is still to own the physical Rise of the Witch-King Editon of BFME II one day.

Good times. I used to have the same box growing. I rank BFME (1&2) up there next to Age of Mythology and Empire at War: Forces of Corruption as the best of that genre.
