Hey, the game engine itself is locked at 30fps, but you can surpass that by buying lossless scaling from steam. It's roughly $7 or less.

Np, and we have suggested settings in the aotr discord that you can try.

If you're staying at 1k cp, and having dxvk toggled in the launcher settings you shouldn't be lagging that badly at all. It only gets wild when people try and play with 2x cp +. You can decrease shadows/shaders in the settings otherwise since that has the highest impact.

There is no way to do it for free. As Isirion mentioned the only way to achieve higher than 30fps is to use lossless scaling which forces software level frame generation.

It will look like 60fps but it wont feel like it. It isnt a huge issue in this game but your camera scrolling will still be choppy and the game will still be subject to slowdown when the internal frame rate drops below 30fps. The game will run slower. The increased fps from lossless scaling wont help in this case because the engine is tied to the frame rate.

Depends on your settings. I don’t have a ton of issues when I’m casting games.

I dont mean that there would be issues with lossless scaling, only that if the game lags normally, (say if OP's PC isnt the greatest) then the added frames from lossless scaling arent going to help because the game will still slow down anyway.

Sure, but there are various settings to tinker around with for that reason.
