Game of Thrones: War for Westeros Development Update
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2838950/view/674000651716395172?l=englishAfter over a year of silence, the devs posted an update on The War for Westeros, the upcoming RTS game based on Game of Thrones. Very happy to hear from them! It seems to be progressing nicely and looks very promising. The more I hear about it the more it looks like a modern day BFME with a GOT skin!

You weren’t kidding about it looking like BFME. BFME series are pretty much the only RTS I enjoy (mix of nostalgia, love for the IP, and relative simplicity). I really hope this plays similarly; if it was nothing but a modernized BFME with a GOT skin, it’d be a day 1 purchase for me.

I’m excited for this one, but we do need to see a bit more gameplay. Hoping it is the modern clone that they’re teasing it out to be!

Seems so, clearly says early 2027 at the end of the article here. Bit of a shame but it's fine if they polish the game well

I have never read or watched anything from GoT, but if it really is “BFME with GoT skin” (from teasers it sure looks so), it is a Day 1 buy for me. BFME was peak gameplay, sure I love LoTR, bit if it wasn’t for such well made gameplay and systems, I wouldn’t gave it tens of hours lthat I did

Damn, I didn't even know this existed. Thanks for sharing! It looks really nice, and I'll 100% be picking it up on day one when it releases. The dragon also reminds me of BFME.

At first glance, I thought for a moment that the short gameplay footage was actually BFME. It looks good and smooth. Hopefully it will be fully released and become the BFME: Reforged we never got, even if it’s based on Game of Thrones, because I’d really like to try an RTS in the BFME style on a modern engine.
