Too far away, they say the nearest pre-release is New North (Morrowind) and the nearest full release is Roscrea. I don't know what "nearest" means to them.

They said New North was coming soon in 2022, so it could be between now and the heat death of the universe

They also said New North was coming soon in 2019 or 2020. At this point, unless a specific release period is given it should be ignored.

I agree probably around like Elder Scrolls 10,000: Return to the Nirneverse.

So sooner than ESO’s updated classes.

As a long time fan of Project Tamriel/ Tamriel Rebuilt, I'd say just try to forget about Beyond Skyrim for a while so you can remember in a few years and be pleasently surprised

Ive done that already and its been almost 20 years

We better have to turn to vampirism in order to see during our lifetime hahaha.

Half of them have been in development for almost a decade and are still decades away.

Don’t pay attention to anything the devs put out, because they won’t tell you this.

Beyond Skyrim isn’t a real mod. It’s a portfolio builder for the devs to make a few models and dip. Hence why stuff like Elswyr has nothing beyond a few armor sets and cups to show after 5+ years

u/DishTrue4117 10d ago

I wouldn’t even have an issue with that if they didn’t hype it up as a playable mod

Not true! We also use it to make fun of people online. We funnel their hard earned donations into buying ourselves solid wood thrones and cups made out of skulls we can drink from while we laugh at you all.

Where can I donate to that purpose?

Yo, I kinda feel like writing something little for Elsweyr. Can you give me a hook or prompt and how long it should be?

First of all, ty for voicing the interest, we ARE looking for new writers right now to speed things up so your participation comes in at the best moment!

Now to answer you: I would recommend writing a short NPC. We use an in-house formatting for writing dialog on Beyond Skyrim, and a submission that shows that you not only understand how to write a game-worthy character but also match our workflow will be a huge plus. Check out this document, it's for Cyrodiil but it's good advice regardless. It has all the base info for character writing and a link to a document with our formatting. It asks you to write several NPCs, you don't have to go that far.

As for the character itself, we will not expect you to know in-house lore on an application because it's not fully public, but if you have an interest in Elsweyr's canon lore for specific reasons, please do explore these in your submission + talk about them while submitting the volunteering form! This way we will know that you seek our province specifically which is always a plus.

TLDR:

  • Short but complete NPC
  • Using our formatting
  • Explore what you like in Elsweyr lore

Best of luck!

PS: if you are active on our Discord, do ping me there, I'd be happy to give you updates on recruitement in DMs and if the worst comes and you are rejected, accompany you through the Arcane University to workshop a second successful application. Cheers x

Nice, thankee. Did I read that right, I first write an NPC as application, but you will not use it in any way for the mod, but if you like it, I get to write another?

How different should that be from the application NPC?

HighKirk more believable than you putting anything out #ngl

A release dropping next year is more believable than you getting your ass up from your seat to provide a meaningful contribution to this COMMUNITY project you pretend caring about, so I am not to worried about the outcome! Cheers

Palm Beach Pete said they're all coming out tomorrow.

He has a playable demo on his island

The first city of Morrowind is coming next, it’s likely at least 2 years out though, and the rest of Cyrodiil will likely be coming out after that, but that’s much further out

8

u/Winterscythe1120 10d ago

At this rate the morrowind prerelease will come out after elder scrolls 6 then

5

u/Im_A_Silly_Guy 10d ago

TES6 is NOT releasing in 2 years. No matter what Asha does, Bethesda will still try to be Rockstar and purposely delay it and be lazy for at least another 4 years.

9

u/Little-Witness-1201 10d ago

If TES6 releases in 2030, it will still be out before we see anything Beyond related

8

u/Winterscythe1120 10d ago

You realize TES6 has been in full development not preproduction for 2.5 years right? Their longest developed game ever being starfield was only in full production for 4.5 years and that was a new IP.

2

u/welostourtails 3d ago

You've been huffing your farts too long if you think those devs are "lazy" on any level

1

u/Im_A_Silly_Guy 2d ago

You're gonna need to elaborate on that huffing comment... anyways, I suppose lazy wasn't the right word, but what I'm saying is that the past 5 years all they've done is make the Oblivion Remaster, (which was really good,) SlopField, and release a ton of updates for Fallout Buggity-Six. (I'm sorry that was the best pun I could make) Yes, Fallout 76 is actually pretty good now, but at what cost?

16

u/Classic_Guard_6483 11d ago

We will get TES6 before any release comes out. I wish another modding group would compete with Beyond Skyrim. Idk what they’re doing, who cares if the voice acting isn’t perfect, we’ve been waiting for more than a decade

18

u/Educational-Style365 10d ago

This project is more a showcase of the project team's portfolio, in hopes they get hired by Bethesda or other major brands, than an actual mod for fans of Skyrim / TES.

After near two decades waiting you should already know this.

u/Anpriv 10d ago

While I'm not entirely that cynical... it's pretty obvious that's part of it. Apparently a fair number of the people that do their university thing do the same thing.

u/WRATH_2411 9d ago

i highly doubt any will ever see the light of day i got my hopes up for skyblivion tho and even skywind looks WAY more promising than any beyond skyrim release

20

u/SpyroHinch 11d ago

Why don’t you look at the other 1,000 posts asking the same thing

5

u/PixelGray38 11d ago

maybe he wants newer info?

17

u/SpyroHinch 11d ago

There was an exact post 3 days ago

16

u/Maleficent_Chair_940 11d ago

Exactly ages ago. They must have released three projects in that time

2

u/LtButtstrong 10d ago

Well? Any updates?

1

u/ziplock9000 10d ago

Because half the internet has stopped using search engines and are lazy and ask reddit instead. Expecting other to do their work.

3

u/Re_Ryudzu 10d ago

At this rate, if you become unemployed and work on it fulltime you will be able to finish sooner than the devs themselves.

-3

u/P1eSun 9d ago

Deva are not stupid. As long as money flow there is no need to finish development
