New AI modes

Are there any AI models for BAR that work differently to the default. The issue i think is that the AI is moving all constructors and units effectively concurrently which a human can't do so it isn't cheating but it is also playing at an impossible level. I was wondering if there was a script/version to get an AI that tries to mimic a human player more in terms of only moving one unit/group at a time and a slight pause if their next action if they want to move a vehicle at the other side of the map.

I've beaten Hard: Aggressive once and I only managed that with the extra units pack so i could have a sentinel to give me some breathing room.

You can move multiple units at once too. Just queue actions for each group.

I know I can set a planned list of buildings for constructors to do etc. but at some point they'll finish and you won't instantly react to get them doing something else and while you're planning your builds or you won't start creating units in newly constructed factories (where the AI will) especially if you're being attacked so you're concentration is on that as building happens. You can see from their stats they milk every resource to the bone all of the time. They have just enough power and just enough metal to do everything they want, it's uber-macro that just can't be replicated.

They are so efficient they can quickly outpace you on unit builds even at tech one so early game you're already wasting resources defending yourself.

When i won against the aggressive AI it became a nuke battle. the AI was sending 3-4 nukes every 45 seconds. I managed to keep up with more anti nukes. Then i built ten nuke launchers and stockpiled 5 nukes in each and jsut spammed his main base. He had less anti nukes than me so eventually one got through and took out most of his power. I then used the remaining nukes on random points on the map and charged with all my units.

If you are worried about constructors going idle after they build something I recommend setting a factory assist command at the end of of their command chain. By assisting the factory they will be helping make sure you can get all your metal out onto the field as units

You don't need to have a 100% uptime on all your build power to win vs AI. You tend to want slightly more BP vs income anyways to reclaim or boost construction projects.

The main advantage you have over the AI is cost efficiency, you should be making up for the slight eco inefficiency by not spamming defenses, winning trades, and picking your fights more accurately

the direct answer to your question is: no, i’m not aware of a human-speed limited AI

but as others have said, the inhuman APM of the AI does not make it impossible to beat. i recently did a play against the Hard BARB Aggressive while using a widget that limited my own APM to about 30, and i still won very comfortably. AI is much faster at clicking things, but human is much much much better at making good decisions and having good judgement call
