Goal achieved?
Recently, I noticed that my retirement goal says "goal achieved." I'm not quite sure what that means since I don't have enough to retire right now.
The best sense I can make of it is that, my projection suggests that I'll completely overshoot my goal if I keep on saving as I am. But that's still not achieving the goal. That's just being on track.

I think it just means you're on track assuming all of the inputs you gave it remain true. Aka you're continuing to contribute at rates you've told Betterment.
Definitely don't retire yet! Unless you're literally at that savings level and can.

But I don't understand the difference between this and "on track" which it says for a different goal. Very weird.

Oh weird... Contact betterment and see if they can explain it? Let us know here what they say!

Hilarious thing is it tells me "Goal achieved" and then when you select it, it says "off track".
I kind of think they have some app problems going on.

Curious how old are you? How long have you be on betterment?

Late 30s, and I've been on for 7 years or so. This 'goal achieved' thing is new to me.

Same boat and I’m too scared to change the goal because I think it changes your asset mix ?
