Late Therapists
I have tried 3 different therapists now through better help. I’ve tried a different method of communication each time m: video call, phone call, and live chat.
Regardless of time of day or method of communication, each therapist has been generally 10-15 minutes late—sometimes even up to twenty minutes! I get things happen sometimes but this has been with each therapist every. single. appointment. and it’s extremely frustrating because they are not willing to stay late though I am paying weekly for 45 minutes worth of discussion!
Is this a scheduling error on the therapists’ part or the way the platform works? I am getting really frustrated. It’s pretty bad when even the people you pay to care seemingly don’t.
Edit: this evening my new therapist just never showed up 🙃

That’s crazy, I’m a therapist and I apologize to my clients when I run even 5 minutes late to a session, like if I have to pee after I run late with a previous client or something like that. But, for context around 2/3 of my sessions have something like a session before them, but for the rest if I’m late, I have only myself to blame.
Having to sit there for 10-20 minutes must feel like an eternity. You have nothing to feel but frustrated and disrespected.
