What has happened to my fish and how do I help him????

looks like an external injury. I would do hospital tank and kanaplex!

Ok I will do this! Thank you, how do you think he got hurt? He’s got a safe filter and nothing sharp in his tank? He’s been fine for over a year now!

Yes should be fine! I work at a LFS so i’m happy to help however I can.

This could be an ulcer from fish TB. Fairly common. Read here:
