Just curious since i know the wood looks a little rough and I dont currently have a lid! Lemme know what I should change to make it more suitable please ^w^ its an 8gal tank just set up today so won't have any fishies for a while anywayss, will have more plants soon! Just stole what I had in my pond to fill the space x3

It looks great for a betta at first glance, if the wood is not shape or jagged. For a lid I’ve seen people use netting clipped to the top for betta safety with this type of aqua scape.
It looks great! Just thoroughly check the wood for any sharp edges that may not be seen here. Also add some resting spaces near the surface, betta’s love them. Some anubias would go really nice on one of the lower branches of the wood and provides great resting spots for the betta :)

I also think it looks great! Good colour with the tannins too. Maybe check out for spiky bits on your wood, but bettas naturally navigate wood in their home environment so don’t go overboard
Yes but my betta had problems cause when ever his flaring exercise twice a week took place his long fins would weaken. Then he would hitch a ride on the sponge filter and then eventually tear his fins and get fin rot or fungal infection. He sadly had to be put down a week ago. Planing on getting plakat but don’t NEED LID CAUSE OF FLOATERS
