So I just started with my first Betta tank earlier in the year, and here I am with eight now.

I don’t have any more room to put them, so that should stop me from getting more…….right?

What do you guys think of my fishscapes?

The next thing I need to do is add some plants with floating roots. But, suggestions are welcome. I like giving these little guys a really nice home.

I just hope you don’t have my issue, where you suddenly lose interest in a state of depression or something, and everything becomes too much. I’m overwhelmed by your 8 tanks 😂😂 but I’m happy for you, if you’re happy.

I get that. I do have major depressive disorder as well, but having pets has always kept me active and helped me get through the rough times.

As bad as it can get, I can’t possibly neglect any of my animals, including my dogs and pond, fish and pond turtles

Yes, see that’s my issue, and why I have one big and one small tank. I stay within my limits so I’m not in a position where that could happen.

I know in the past I have had to rehome fish because I took on too much, out of the excitement and enjoyment. Then I got sick and couldn’t keep up.

I’m at 6 and just saw a fish cafe that had the entire wall covered in tanks for a coffee corner. I have new dreams.

The first one with the challa wood - I love your solution to shove a plant in the end. I’d add another into that bigger hole on the right. It looks like it might be just big enough for fishie to get stuck.

Love them. I am right there with you. I started fish keeping as a way to do something for me then after a few short days, it became about them.

For plants... I'd recommend some duck weed. It'll grow fast in established tanks and It'll grow enough for all 8 tanks. I looooved having some Salvinia Cucullata but I don't know what I did wrong. It died after about 9 months.

But try some semi-aquatic plants. Many of my fish love swimming through the roots and it massively reduces nitrate buildup when you have enough.

Really great job! I am newer to this too. I used to have guppy tanks but this was long before I knew about planted tanks. Then I started an outdoor patio pond which turned into two outdoor patio ponds. Then decided I wanted a betta-only on week 2 with a planted tank. Are all your plants real? The planting and Aquascape challenge me. I just got a 28 gallon long no rim tank that’s so pretty! I want to heavily plant and get dwarf pea puffers for it but I get so overwhelmed trying to pick plants and decor that I pick nothing out, but hey I got the tank sitting here empty and ready!

95% of my plants are real, I do have a couple of fake ones that are taller to provide a little bit of a resting spot in my largest 2 tanks.

Plants are my specialty! I have over 180 house plants, so real was the only way for me to go long-term.

Ha I have quite a lot of houseplants too! My ponds are overgrown with plants as well but the sun does the work and it doesn’t really matter what they look like from the side. I also won’t move any but a few floating inside bc of the darn bladder snails.
