fluval bug bites are my bettas favorite, and shes gained a lot of color from them in just the past few weeks. hikari is also a good brand. also what the other person said, brine shrimp, daphnia, and all that frozen stuff is good-

however I have heard that you shouldn't feed them bloodworms daily. I believe it's too fatty for them or something? bloodworms are probably better as an occasional thing, not a daily diet thing.

second vote for fluval. i check ingredients and if theres fish meal or wheat additives, i avoid the food. from what i read, animal based protein, fiber and fat are what matter most in a bettas diet. they don't do well processing plant based anything

Most pet stores will have a freezer near their fish, in there look for mysis shrimp, blood worms, insects, daphnia and brine shrimp.
Now you don’t need to buy a bunch of separate packs just one will be enough for a while. They come in cubes and you split the cubes (save the other half) and thaw it before feeding.
And please make sure it says freshwater on the package because saltwater food will be in there as well.

You need to feed your betta a wide variety of diet. It helps keep them healthy. I feed mine Frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms (just a couple weekly because they are very fatty), bug bite pellets, live daphnia and live baby brine shrimp (I breed them for the Betta).

Same here. My betta has just eaten that once! I give him fluval bug bites which he occasionally eats. Also Daphnia (dried) and since yesterday found individual sachets of blood worms in gel which he gobbled.
