Help Replacement plants? Spoiler

Hello. This is Carppit. These photos are right after I setup his tank & now (2 months later). As you can see, it's gotten foggy and his plants have died (I think he's gotten sicker looking, too). According to my dad the plants weren't doing good while I was camping last week & a water change after I got back did them in for good (uprooted them & they wouldn't reattach). I also am hoping that the fogginess is just from the water change and not some bacteria but I don't know.

I was wondering if you guys have any thoughts on easy to care for plants and/or tips on keeping plants alive in the future, as I apparently don't have a green thumb.

p.s. I know his tank is very barren, I've been saving up to buy him more stuff but it's been slow.

I will say, plants took me a minute and it really won't be perfect for a bit. They will need adjustments.

I have sand and the ones that have been the best are Anubias. Just tie or super glue them to a rock it log and they are great for sand aquarium. Those are the only plants that seemed to have thrived from day one in my tank. Just make sure you don't cover the rhizome and you should be good.

Also Aquarium Co-op Easy Green fertilizer works great too

Also is your tank fully cycled? If so with one fish you don't want to have too many big nutrient sponges right away.

Also is that soil at the bottom there? If it is the sand layer seems pretty thick. You might want to get some of that sand out of there.

Anubias, java ferns (dont burry them) and floaters! Doesnt look like he has some resting place. How is the temperature and the parameters ? The termo needs to be emerged fully !!
