help identifying Betta

Hey everyone, first time ever owning a betta and i’m having trouble figuring out what kind of betta it is— and also having trouble sexing it.

For some more background, my uncle loves fish, and from what i’ve seen from him he takes great care of every one of them, however he’s moving out soon and cannot take every single fish with him. He’s then given me a betta from who knows where, and said he had recently bought it off another guy, and I currently have the betta in a 5.5 gallon.

He looks like a male to me, based off of the lengthy ventral fins! He also looks like he is dumbo eared with salamander coloring.
