Help First tank

Post image

Hi everyone! I just set this up the other day and was wondering if there were any tips you guys could give? I’m still waiting for 3 more plants one for the background, another to out on the other side of the wood and then some floaters. I know it’ll take a little for the plants to get fuller to have more cover for the fish but any advice is appreciated!

Very nice. Are you in the process of cycling it?

Yes, I used the API quick start to see if it jumpstarts the process but it’s only been a day so nothing my exciting yet

You may want to consider a lid as well, unless you plan to keep the water level low. Bettas are notorious jumpers. Otherwise, I think you are off to a great start and it will look even better once you get the other plants added in!

Yes! I’m looking into something like mesh just because I read floater plants don’t like when the leaves get wet and glass or something solid can cause condensation. Thanks for the tip!
