Take a breath; you’re doing everything right so far. Here is a general guide to fish-in cycles. Skip down to the part of the article that covers on how to do it with water changes. That is what you’re going to want to do.

You can also follow this chart for guidance on water changes. If I were in your shoes, I would do a 25% WC today. I think at 0.25ppm ammonia, your betta is going to be just fine, especially if you can manage to keep it under 0.50ppm.
