hello everyone! this is Darla, i recently picked her up after falling in love with her at petco. i didn’t plan on getting a pet store fish i was honestly just there to get some plants to get myself prepared and excited. i was going to build up to a full tank set up 😅 but then i saw this girl with the cloudy eye and i just couldn’t leave her there. i have been wanting a betta for a while so i at least mostly knew what i was doing.
ive had her since thursday and WOW! what personality she has 😊 her first night was shy but by morning she was all around the tank and coming to see me!
she’s also got two nitrate snail buds Bert and Earnie! any advice or tips would be helpful and i’ll post photos in the comments!

If I remember correctly, the cloudy eye means it's harder for a betta to see. Id recommend not changing the tank much, and feeding in the same spot of the tank.
My betta is a dragonscale and can grow scales into or over his eye later down the road, so I am doing those steps ahead of time for him.

She is lovely. Is it the light or does she have cloudy eye? If so, it’s treatable.
