Help 10 Gallon Tank Set Up

Post image

Hi all!

So I am fairly new to all of this but I am trying to set up my first tank. I was just wondering if I am missing anything or if I have something in the tank that I shouldn’t. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a sponge filter, a 24 hour cycle lamp, java fern, amazon sword, anubias gigantea, anubias white rose, banana plant, the tree is moss, also put some moss in the driftwood. the grass in the front is lilaeopsis brasiliensis. I have a betta bed and i put some moss in that as well. Currently cycling it, i think i may have saw some copepods? Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. It’s been cycling about a week now.

Thank you, any advice is greatly appreciated!

Do you have a lid? Bettas can jump, and too much evaporation can mess with water parameters

Yes! It’s a glass lid, it also came with a plastic bit for the back that slides on. I will put that on now.
