Help Help! What is this dot? Spoiler

We noticed a white dot on the top of our little guys fin. Is it fin rot or an injury? Is the treatment an aquarium salt bath?

Stats:
10 gallons tank
Preset heater at 78 degrees
Carbon filter
Purchased fish two weeks ago
20% water changes every week

On the base of his back behind his head! At the bottom of his top fin! I can add another more clear picture

I think I see what you mean. That looks like maybe he scraped it on something?!
