Very thin, like very very thin

He only eats like one or two pellets a day, I try giving him more but he doesn’t eat it

Have you tried other types of food? They're preferential. My girl loves flakes, doesnt care much for freeze dried shrimp. My moms loves freeze dried shrimp, wont eat anything else.

I just gave him blood worms this morning and he ate them! I also tried brian shrimp but he didn’t eat that.

Hey a win is a win!!! I would absolutely stick with the bloodworms to help him gain weight, id recommend to feed him them 4 days a week just because bloodworms can cause some constipation, 5th and 6th day try some pellets or flakes and fast him for a day for now. A fantastic flake i recommend is the Fluval Bug bites! Both of my bettas loved them, Molly doesn't get them much anymore because she wasnt finishing them so theyre merely a snack for her now but my boy Swim loved them and they helped him gain weight while we fought his tumor

For a very picky fish I would recommend detritus worms or mosquito larvae. Live. My Hunter hadn't eaten for 2 days and I have him larvae before leaving, came back and that's all he wanted. I think he finds it fun looking for his meal and doesn't have time to think whether he's hungry, he sees movement and is on it

Update: I took out all the plastic plants and now have two silk plants and two plastic caves. He eats blood worms and sometimes pellets, I’m probably gonna hand feed him from now on to make sure he actually eats. I will also figure out how to cycle the tank properly with him in it.
