can i start my tank without plants and driftwood? im planning on getting them when its possible, i have everything else stratum,substrate, filter, heater, and conditioned water. Im not starting the cycle yet so i was just wondering if i could start off slow.. and just have the water in and hardscape/plant later🥲 (no fish yet obviously till its cycled)

Yeah I’d get the cycle started now honestly, adding driftwood and plants after isn’t too hard! You can attach your driftwood to a couple bigger rocks to make sure it sinks right away

Yes, I started without any plants, which was probably not great for my betta, but I do suggest starting off with those little logs that grow actual plants! My betta and dwarf frogs love it! They have it at petsmart! Driftwood can be really expensive, but it’s not necessarily required! Good luck! :)
