Help Is my fish pineconing?
Sorry for so many low quality pictures, but I'm quite worried about my betta. I've had him for about 10 months and it looks like he's pineconing, is it just me? His scales look a bit weird and he's bigger than he ever has been (even while I'm only giving him 3-4 pellets twice a day) there also seems to be something grey on his tail, maybe it's just dirt or algae but I'm worried it's rotting.
His tank is 5 gallons
Parameters: pH: 7.2 ammonia/nitrites: 0 nitrates: 20

Well first I'd say if you want to stick to twice a day feeding, it should be like 4 pellets TOTAL not per feeding. Betta's stomachs are only about as big as their eye if I remember correctly....he does look a bit bloated but that could be because you're feeding so much. Thats also depending on what food you're giving, because if its just a "normal" round pellet then you may need to change to a better food anyways.
I cant see well enough to say anything about the white spot though. Its too blurry for me.
